However, it seems like Murphy's character may have died between the two movies, as fans believe they spotted him as a zombie in the 28 Years Later trailer.

Everyone’s favorite Independent Women have reunited — just temporarily, don’t lose your breath.
A Destiny’s Child reunion was in store Thursday evening as Beyoncé (along with mother Tina Knowles) and Kelly Rowland visited Michelle Williams, who is currently performing on Broadway in a new musical adaptation of Death Becomes Her.
Beyoncé celebrated the occasion in a series of posts shared on Instagram Saturday: In the first, a spliced montage video set to her track “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus, images of Times Square give way to shots of Rowland, Knowles and Beyoncé posing with their Playbills. There are also videos of the former girl group celebrating Williams off-stage following her performance, including photos of her in the spotlight as she debuted the character of Viola Van Horn, the mysterious woman who entices frenemies Helen Sharp (Jennifer Simard) and Madeline Ashton (Megan Hilty) with the pathway to eternal beauty and youth.

Beyonce‘s career breakthrough came in the 1990s as a teenage member of Destiny’s Child. But since then she has established herself as one of the biggest music stars of the 21st century. So naturally it’s challenging to narrow down the greatest hits of her career … not that we let that stop us from trying, though. Scroll down for our countdown of her best songs — including “Countdown”! Do you agree with how we rank them?
Destiny’s Child had several hits including “Survivor” and “Bills, Bills, Bills,” but it was “Say My Name” that earned Beyonce her first Grammys when she was only 19: Best R&b Duo/Group Performance and Best R&b Song. She has since become one of the most awarded individuals in Grammy history, the most awarded woman in history, and the most nominated woman in history. But most of the top categories have eluded her.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are vehemently promoting their upcoming sequel film, Dune 2, and theatres hope that it will revive the currently slow box office. According to reports, the second film in the epic sci-fi series was made with a whopping budget of $190 million.
While fans hope the film delivers on its insane budget, some also point out that it still has a lower budget than Marvel’s recent failure, The Marvels.
Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya in Dune 2
The Marvels only grossed $206.1 million from the theaters, the lowest for an MCU movie, and could not recoup its production budget. Interestingly, Dune 2‘s budget is more than the production budget of Dune (2021), which was made on a budget of $165 million.

Simu Liu’s Marvel debut was one of the most anticipated ones, since the movie, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was the first one to be helmed by an Asian hero. Shocking everyone, the movie turned out to be one of the best MCU movies ever to be made largely because of the direction of Destin Daniel Cretton.

"Breaking Bad" is a tragedy. The series often offsets the darkness with black comedy, but by the end, the tragedy outweighs the humor. The series' climatic, antepenultimate episode "Ozymandias" is named after the Percy Bysshe Shelley poem, the greatest written testament to man's hubris.
In the "Breaking Bad" pilot, after the not-so-humble chemistry teacher Walter White (Bryan Cranston) gets a cancer diagnosis, he decides to use his talents to cook meth. He says it's to leave money behind for his family, but it's just as much about getting ahead of a world he feels screwed him over. As we learn more about Walt, it becomes clear his bad decisions started long before the diagnosis and he squandered his potential, both in chemistry and to be a better man.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has entertained audiences around the world since its debut in 2009, and the series has only continued to explode all over the globe with international spin-offs. Every episode of Drag Race culminates in a lip sync battle between two (or more) queens to some beloved hit songs. But throughout all those years, Beyoncé songs were notably absent from the lip syncs. In recent years, however, Bey has become a more common lip sync artist.

And then it was Friday. The arrival of the weekend coincided with St. Patrick’s Day to bring a huge influx of revelers to downtown Austin last night, as it does most years, leaving long lines of curious folks dressed in green queuing outside previously under-the-radar venues. There was still tons of great music to be found, if you walked in the right door. Here are the best things we saw on the fourth full day and night of SXSW 2023’s music festivities.

Everything Beyoncé touches turns to gold. Or, at least, into Grammy Awards when it comes to her musical work. The Destiny’s Child frontwoman turned powerhouse solo act has been racking up the statuettes since 2001, when Say My Name won for Best R&b song. Since then, she’s continued to earn an avalanche of nominations and trophies for her lyrics and performances.
It’s hard to understate the star power that comes with someone like Beyoncé. She has become ubiquitous with success and fame over the course of her illustrious career. However, some accolades remain elusive for the performer. One of those is the coveted Egot status: the so-called “grand slam” of the entertainment industry that happens when a person wins an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Only 18 people have achieved this in history — most recently Viola Davis with her win at the Grammys in February. And while Beyoncé...

Beyoncé broke the record for the most Grammy wins of all time for an individual artist with her win for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
Even before the televised show started, she won two awards – Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul” and Best Traditional R&b Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa.” She then won Best R&b Song for “Cuff It” before breaking the record with her fourth win of the night.
Her win in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category for Renaissance made her the first black woman to earn the award.
During her acceptance speech, Beyoncé thanked her late “Uncle Jonny,” who she cited as an influence to her exploration of dance music.
“I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing the genre,” the singer went on to say.

When the first trailer debuted for “Candyman” — director Nia DaCosta and producer Jordan Peele’s “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 horror classic — there was a great deal of buzz about the use of a slowed-down remix of Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” alongside the original movie’s haunting score.
But upon further reflection — the needle drop was an early hint at the way DaCosta and Peele’s take would examine deeper social themes. And the call to say “Candyman” in the mirror five times ultimately mirrors the call to remember real-life victims of racial violenc.
“We shot this right up until everything started to get locked down in March of 2020, before our summer of racial reckoning,” “Candyman” star Colman Domingo told Variety. “So we were already starting to shout quietly, ‘Say her name. The higher the intensity of a trailer, the slower the song that accompanies it. This may seem fairly recent as a reliable rule, but it’s not a completely new phenomenon. What goes back at least to the 2001 trailer for the first iteration of Xbox 360’s apocalyptic warfare video game Gears of War — with Gary Jules delivering a heart-ripping cover of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” — is an visual-aural contrast that’s now common practice.
More recent examples of the trend include FJØRA’s echoey take on the 4 Non Blondes perennial “What’s Up?” in the terrifying trailer for 2020’s “Welcome to the Blumhouse”; Lana Del Rey’s creepy version of “Once Upon a Dream,” from the classic Disney animated film “Sleeping Beauty,” in the trailer for 2014’s “Maleficent”; and ConfidentialMX featuring Becky Hanson’s operatic interpretation of the Bee Gees’ “I Started a Joke” in the dark trailer for 2016’s “Suicide Squad.

The festival, which will be held virtually through August 22, is put on each year by the Black Hollywood Education Resource Center. The late Kobe Bryant had a lot of successes in life. His 2000 recording of a gangsta rap album wasn’t one of them, but it’s now finally out there for the world to judge.
Bryant, who will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday, recorded the 16-track album, titled Visions, with a host of all-star support. Artists including Nas, 50 Cent, Beanie Segal, Black Thought, and Destiny’s Child appear on the recording.
Unfortunately, the album’s debut single, K.O.B.E. – featuring model and actress Tyra Banks – did not live up to Columbia Records expectations, and the project was quietly dropped without the entire album being released. This after Bryant released the single on the NBA All-Star Weekend, and performed it live at the game.

Beyoncé set history Sunday night at the 2021 Grammys, becoming the most Grammy-winning female artist in history and garnering more awards than any performer — male or female.
With 28 trophies, Beyoncé ties with 88-year-old producer Quicy Jones. Beyoncé earned her first Grammys in 2001 as a part of Destiny’s Child, when the group won for Best R&b Song and Best R&b Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals with “Say My Name.” She was 19 years old at the time.

Like mother, like daughter. At the Grammys Premiere Ceremony on March 14, Beyonce won two awards, including Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl.” What’s just as significant is that her daughter Blue Ivy Carter also won a Grammy as a credited artist in that video. That makes her one of the youngest winners in Grammy history (though not quite the youngest ever), which is fitting for a child whose parents (Beyonce and Jay-Z) have won almost 50 Grammys combined. Check out the complete list of Grammy winners here.

Nominations for the Grammy Awards are coming this Tuesday November 24, and there are categories that might set new records, either for wins or for nominations. Let’s look at a few.
DISCUSS2021 Grammy predictions: Album of the Year
Record of the Year
Multiple records could be broken in this category this year. First, if Beyoncé gets a nomination this year — whether it is for “Savage (Remix)” with Megan Thee Stallion, her own “Black Parade,” or maybe even both — she’ll break the record for the most nominations for a female artist in this category, which she currently holds in a tie with Barbra Streisand at five apiece. Beyonce’s previous nominations were for “Say My Name” (as a member of Destiny’s Child in 2001), “Crazy in Love” (2004), “Irreplaceable” (2008), “Halo” (2010) and “Formation” (2017).
Not only that, Beyoncé would also join a select list of artists who’ve had Roty nominations in three different decades.

Candyman
It starts with an urban legend: repeat the name Candyman in the mirror five times and he’s summoned – to kill you. When Anthony McCoy (portrayed by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) explains this to his girlfriend Brianna (portrayed by Teyonah Parris), she can’t imagine anyone doing such a thing. Cut to a scene of highschool girls chanting in the bathroom and Candyman’s legend is brutally proven. Daring teenagers aren’t the only ones drawn to Candyman – McCoy’s artistic career becomes intertwined with Candyman’s legacy. Making haunting...

Jordan Peele puts a bloody new spin on a Nineties horror classic with the new trailer for Candyman, a modern-day reboot produced and co-written by the Get Out filmmaker.

In the reboot, McCoy returns to his old neighborhood, stirring up the spirit of the slasher.

Candyman is due out this summer and has an impressive range of talent behind it. Yayha Abdul-Mateen II stars, Jordan Peele is on script duty and Little Woods‘ Nia DaCosta is in the director’s chair. Right now, we have conflicting reports on whether it’ll be a sequel or a full reboot though, as the production was filmed under the code name Say my Name and there was a lot of secrecy on set.
One aspect we don’t know much about is the extent of Tony Todd’s involvement. Todd played the Candyman in the original and its sequels Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh and Candyman: Day of the Dead. He’s an iconic physical presence at 6’5 and it’s difficult to imagine the character played by anyone else. The current thinking is that he’s at least involved in the movie and indeed, he’s listed as...
