See the process

Of Doug Walker's many spin off series based on the Nostalgia Critic, here we have a very authentic one. This series features Doug Walker and his brother Rob watching the movies that they have to review as the Nostalgia Critic, for the first time. It's great because this series works like "Mystery Science Theater 3000" which them randomly saying jokes. The first couple of seasons of MST3K were in fact done like that. Then again, the show's writing really got good when they stopped it. This isn't the show. This is a warmup.

Well, it's not a warmup for us because they make these videos after the Nostalgia Critic review. Sometimes, they have in fact seen these movies before. Still, they don't remember them or at least both of them don't recognize most of it. I remember when he did a video saying how an episode of the Nostalgia Critic is made. This is definitely part of the process. As someone who loves MST3K and Rifftrax, I could certainly enjoy this a lot.

If I'm allowed to have a favorite joke in all the videos, I'd say it's one when they're watching "Green Lantern". There's a part where the villain attacks one of the students mentally causing him to fly out of his desk. Rob says, "Class dismissed". The villain says the same. A lot of these jokes aren't used in the actual Nostalgia Critic review. It does make me wonder how they decide what to show in these videos. I guess it's just the funniest comments. ****
