Black & White Vol. 10

Move over Mandingo, easily the biggest dick around is introduced, nay flaunted on the DVD cover photo, in the person of Julio Gomez paired memorably with little Angel Smalls in one of those "amazing penetrations" scenes. This popular IR series proves its worth with their vignette alone.

Julio's presence brings back that old porn argument about length vs. girth, latter reckoning of dick-size that gave the late Sledge Hammer and diminutive Shorty Mac some prominence due to their impressive circumference members. But Julio combines the foot-long standard of recent Black porn performers with an amazing girth, only magnified as Smalls gamely tries (and fails) to imbibe his cock in her pretty little mouth.

Director Greg Lansky, whose work I most definitely do not admire, emphasizes beyond the oral scenes a successful gimmick of Julio's (and the other studs too including Mandingo himself) cock all greased up sliding in to the hilt and out in close-up doggy-style scenes constituting the show's most memorable imagery. It's a fact of physiology that even the most petite of porn actresses are able to take a huge cock all the way in their pussies while blow-jobs remain often a bridge too far. Smalls certainly earns street cred for her efforts, and it will be interesting to see if Julio the Great emerges as a porn regular and puts his too- massive and heavy a cock to defy gravity to further use in porn and join the limited Central Casting of well-endowed Black dudes currently so popular with the fans.

Mandingo's segment is a highly regimented one, as Lansky has already developed a by-the-numbers formula for spotlighting the overexposed (thousands of scenes issued since 1999) Big Fella. Lovely Black actress Kira Noir is cast in many of the Lansky productions as Mr. M's assistant, giving potential girls a Lesbian tryout before presenting them to the big Sugar Daddy. These scenes (I've watched 3 so far) are identically shot and framed, as if on a single set re-used by Lansky over & over, and in this case it's the exotic (with strange accent) Moka Mora who gets the assignment. Unfortunately, Mandingo is his usual somnambulist self, dulling down the scene once Noir exits.

Jason Brown does double duty, playing two different characters to service newcomer Charity Crawford and then big-booty AJ Applegate in competent sex scenes. All the dialog set-ups go for nought, as Lansky typically wasted no time or effort on his scenarios, preferring to let his listless XXX content speak for itself. But with Julio on board, I must give the hackstro (he's no maestro) passing marks.
