What gives?
This edition of WSW begins with Romi Rain sitting at the Lamoyne Hotel bar chatting with Blair Williams, an identical composition to many editions of the Twisted Passions series which takes place at that location. I wondered: did I accidentally put a Twisted Passions DVD in my player by mistake instead of the WSW 144?
No, it's just material possibly intended for Twisted Passions (could be confirmed if a BTS were included which displayed the clapperboard inscriptions for the shoot) but dumped instead in this monthly issue of the catch-all WSW series. Four years later Girlfriends Films has demoted the poor-selling DVD format to the extent that new titles are currently released for VOD (video on demand) rather than hard copy DVDs, subservient to the vignettes made available for company website subscribers.
Romi Rain stars, appearing in all four vignettes here, highly unusual for Women Seeking Women. She fixes up Blair's cousin August Ames (RIP) who is also Romi's sister, with cute Ayumi Anime in a pointless first segment, supposedly to have bicurious Ames who's neglected by her husband Sam not fall prey to lusty Blair's advances.
There are more convoluted relationships name-dropped to the viewer in a vain attempt to present esssentially all-sex content as if it were a soap operatic story.
Next, Romi fixes Blair up with Alison Rey and sort of mentors their Sapphic sex scene, pointless but sexy.
Second half of the show has Prinzzess in her usual taciturn and accusatory mode criticizing lesbians, so naturally (in this rarified Girlfriends universe) Romi takes P to bed. Finale has jail-bait beauty Elsa Jean seeking sexual inititation, and Romi volunteers for the job.
It plays like a half-baked script originally aimed at Twisted Passions, but watered down to substitute girlfriends for Lamoyne prostitutes in the generic sex scenes.
