Yes and combining suitably drama and comedy. By the way of showing the rehearsals and exhibition of a Portuguese theatre revue the atmosphere of the fascist political regime of the dictator Salazar is shown in the well portrayed atmosphere of last century thirties. We can watch the censorship of all shows and the humans rights violations and the police brutality. All performers do an excellent job since they make us to love the good guys and hate the ugly ones. The only flaw is maybe a superficial characterization of some characters but that is not enough to lessen the good quality of this movie.
