The whole surgery scene was so unbelievably stupid that I can't even find words for it. Horrible and lazy writing. If spending at least 10 minutes on how a person with basic competency might go about treating a gunshot wound is so hard, then just write in a mutant with healing powers. By the end of the episode all the other stupid stuff became overwhelming.
The mutant couple who dumped a cop car to avoid being tracked kidnaps a lead agent and uses one of the police SUV's to drive to a remote location to interrogate him. Then act surprised when the cops show up.
After getting the surgical screws ripped out of his leg the dad has a bit of a limp, no biggie. He then passes a magical mutant loyalty test by accidently bumping into his invisible getaway car while running from the police. All in all just too much drama pandering and stupidity.
