  • Barbara Crampton in Conversation (2017)

    *** 1/2 (out of 4)

This interview between historian Alan Jones and Barbara Crampton was recorded in 2015 at the FrightFest Weekend. Basically this is a thirty-six minute conversation where the actress gets to talk on a wide range of subjects, although the main focus is the classic RE-ANIMATOR. She starts off talking about how she got into the business, some of her early soap operas and then we get into the production of the Stuart Gordon film. Various topics are discussed including the shooting of the picture, other movies like CHOPPING MALL and the actress opens up about getting away from the business for a while, why she got back in and how her now husband feels about her early career. If you're a fan of Crampton then it'll be impossible not to like this conversation because she just seems like so much fun and you can tell there's a certain joy about her discussing these films. Jones asks some nice questions along the way and keeps the chat moving at a nice pace.
