  • Playgirl TV content, as duly issued on 100-plus DVDs by Wicked Pictures nearly a decade ago (this one is numbered 97), is romantic by definition, and fairly nostalgic. "Back in Time" signals a look-back at scenes set in earlier eras.

Dana Vespoli, early in her career, portrays "Mata Hari", humping away with Marcos Leon against an odd backdrop of their sex projected on a screen as if by CCTV (obvious anachronism). I liked the touch of her sporting a modified Louise Brooks hairdo with bangs, clearly evocative of the '20s.

"1920's Bar" has the DVD's cover photo couple Talon and Brooke Banner having sex at the bar with moody lighting. "1950's Date" features bobbysoxer costuming as Dani Woodward is serviced on a table by Chris Evans at a soda parlor. No, it's not the current Marvel heartthrob but his forgotten Porno antecedent. This scene was directed by Kelly Holland, previously featured as a Bonus Scene in "Playgirl: A Heat That Devours".

One anachronism I can't tolerate occurs in a vignette title: "Gangsta's Paradise". Okay, in recent decades urban slang has created this term but since we're dealing with yesteryear couldn't the geniuses at Wicked and Playgirl have opted for Gangster's Paradise instead? This black & white changing into full color segment is presented on intentionally scratched film (simulating aging) with sexy Cassie Courtland servicing Kris Knight.

In the bonus section, the familiar porn stud still active on the scene (but no longer sporting long hair nowadays) Chad Alva jerks off for director Skye Blue, but is credited with his horrible original stage moniker "Vin Vericose".
