Classic Scandinavian crime noir with a great supernatural twist. Unfortunately the budget thinking of filming in Budapest becomes a problem: Even in the dark Budapest pretending to be Stockholm does not look like Stockholm when you know the city an that disturbs the fictional tale and becomes meta in a bad way.
  • There are too many elements like Jordskott. The series is extremely slow. Difficult to keep ones attention. Will not watch a second season.

For lovers of Scandinavian crime programs an interesting and thrilling story with unexpected twists. Slow at times but not too slow, featuring good actors,. Worth watching

I can't believe how bad this series is. Poor plotting. A bad script. Four episodes in, and the viewer still has no idea who's against who or what the point is. On top of that, "the romance" is trite, boring--and the two lead characters aren't too bright either. Technically, there are so many scenes in this series that are irrelevant and unnecessary that 3 hours could have easily been cut off the 8 hour series with no loss of (bad) plot. For example, in one scene a man gets bad news on his phone. He gets out of the car, walk ten steps into a field, stares across it, then gets back in the car. Seriously pointless?

Give it a pass. Life is too short.
  • Reading one of the reviews it seems some think it was same as Jordskott. It's way different than Jordskott. Jordskott is based on folklore and slow paced while this show is filled with action. With touch of supernatural. Its so refreshing to have something different as Hidden: Förstfödd. It grabbed me from the first until the last minute. And now waiting for season 2.
