  • Pop Team Epic is pretty unique as its based on short comedy focused manga panels and has a lot of pop culture references (i,e other anime , movies , video games and memes).

Anyways the show is also unique as it loops over the same episode twice with one difference you can watch the same episode with alternate dialog one male or female voice actors for the two main protagonists i found the male ones much funnier ever tho they had the same dialog.

Sometimes the show is quite random and can be hit or miss but other times i was laughing my ass off so ill give it a 7.0 / 10.0 Watch if if you've got some spare time.
  • I am always a sucker for an anime comprised of shorts, and I loved the antics within Pop Team Epic. I didn't follow the manga before watching, and that didn't really hinder my understanding of anything. Some references did go over my head, but a lot of the humor was understandable and/or could be easily interpreted as more shenanigans. I loved the Undertale reference, I loved the tumultuous friendship between Popuko and Pipimi, and would definitely recommend for anyone interested in some easy entertainment.
  • I've followed the manga for a while now, since it's rise to fame in boards that discuss manga and anime, as majority of people know it's quite a meme. However, the anime is a faithful adaptation to the manga and seems like the producers have fun creating and starring in the production of this anime which translates well to the amazing visuals in store from the opening to the ending, as well as the numerous songs and VA's that are in play all being skilled. My only complaint would be the length however it's purpose as a short anime makes sense and they don't seem like they ever do filler episodes, most jokes fall flat to viewers due to not getting the reference but I'd chalk that up to viewer preference. This anime's not for everyone, but it was a hit for me.

This is the most confusing and fast show I have ever seen... at first. Once you're in like 5 episodes deep, you start to understand the format more. Have fun.
