- Lance Lafontaine: I'm Lance Lafontaine with a special news report. The Doom Syndicate continues to menace Metro City. Since Metro Man retired, Megamind has taken over as the city's champion. The mayor has been assured that Megamind will rid the city of the Doom Syndicate. To that end, Megamind has formed his own superhero team, the Mega Squad. Let's hope for all our sakes that the Mega Squad can be mega heroes.
- Lance Lafontaine: This just in, Destruction Worker rampages through downtown. The Mega Squad has gone in to take away tools. We go to our reporter on the scene, Roxanne Ritchi.
- Roxanne Ritchi: Thanks, Lance. Behind me is an... empty lot. Not real exciting. But, earlier today, Destruction Worker destroyed a building here. And now, the Mega Squad has arrived to practice their mega moves!
