  • The film is quite boring, most of the jokes not funny Vega is getting worse, probably too much and the boy wants to get rich quickly and his films are getting worse.
  • For the first time in years, we walked out of the cinema. It's not a movie - it's a political attack of a worst kind. There's no plot, no story - just re-telling of news reports from the last few years in Poland. One star for some smashing performances of lead Polish actors and actresses but the whole thing is not worth the time. (As a disclosure - I don't support Polish PiS government, so I really wanted to like the movie.)
  • The whole thing is just like watching TV news about a bunch of politicians - for 135 minutes. You know the story. You've seen the faces. It's not funny. It's not revealing. There's nothing in the film that you don't already know. I gave it 2 stars because I laughed once.

Vega has once again made a hype next to his new work, come ashamed to call this crease a work, but nevertheless there will be people who will like this film because of its stupidity. The actors played as if someone with a weapon stood behind the camera, stiffly without imagination and hopelessly, in my opinion the actors are wasting their potential on Vega films. The pictures are taken by a cameraman on a hangover, the shots are poor, no nice shots, the author of the photos went easy and took pictures for crowds, for whom this cinema is a genius of a genius. The film is a complete failure especially by the director and the script written in a very simple and silly way.
  • What was that ,come on Mr Vega. The movie is boring, nonsense. Too many vulgarity, put me off . Why don't you do even the swearing in a funny way. The young character of the "Pupil" is absolutely rubbish, very arrogant, very vulgar, very disrespectful , Oh my. The best thing from the movie is a purring cat and that's all
  • Mr. Vega invites us to another '' box office productions '', which has a lot of problems, among others, costumes and makeup was rather average, passing through very poor photos and music we reach the hopeless script and the poor director of this work, if this production can be call it that. Actors, mhm actors are the people who suffered in this film, because the script blocked very good actors, and forced them to a very stiff game, which should not take place in such a high-budget production.
  • This film is nothing but an attempt to attack polish ruling party Law and Justice. 2 hours wasted watching not funny jokes and weird scenes. Nothing interesting .

This movie can only be described as a part of political campaign for upcoming general elections which will take place in October this year. Campaign organised by leftist and liberal groups. Sadly without any artistic value. Political spot that's all.

This movie was a thoroughly entertaining spoof of the PiS party, a certain church leader, and the PO. The several chapters definitely leaned towards the PiS caricatures. Unbalanced? Perhaps, but since PiS has been in control of the government in Poland for years, they obviously would be able to do more that would be worthy of spoofing and mocking. It would have been funnier if it wasn't based on real people who have done real damage to Poland.

It was disappointing to see all the other bad reviews which were obviously written by PiS supporters. Based on how little they actually wrote, I wonder if any actually even saw the movie.

People who gave poor reviews were criticizing this movie for lack or bad jokes. Well this is not a comedy, it is a tragicomedy that depicts how politics looks Poland.

There is nothing funny in there.
  • Kinda dumb and shallow view of politics and "what's behind". Zero intresting insight. One or two jokes, that's all
  • Surprisingly low rating for this film (3,7 as of this date) somehow mirrors current people's emotions in Poland and our election polls. Still it's a very good and daring film in my opinion, brilliantly although not super accuretely portraying Polish politics, media landscape and country's dominant rhetorical mode. The acting is top-notch. I was especially impressed by Antoni Królikowski, Zbigniew Zamachowski and Marcin Bosak in a smaller role playing someone who resembles todays Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

I think in the not so distant future the film will be either "blacklisted" and forgotten or it'll become a cult classic.

    Where to begin...

First of all I do not like Polish movies even though I have seen some amazing ones and I loved them... I just prefer English language more, that's it I guess.

I have seen a few Patryk Vega's films and I really enjoyed them/ They are rough and not high quality but they are good and have that something that you can easily sense.

    What about Polityka(2019), then?

Well... I knew the hate... I knew it will be disastrous and after a few minutes I literally wanted to just turn it off. It was so bad and cringy I couldn't believe what I am watching.

I wanted to quite again after more minutes but I have started to see what this movie really is...

I thought it was a comedy. Only know I have noticed it's under DRAMA genre and this is real drama... A story told with a scornful laughter but there are tears of sorrow hidden underneath it.

This is over the top caricature of what is going on in my country. I do not follow politics at all. I have heard about a couple of things shown in the movie and only now I got somehow fuller picture what it was all about.

I feel somehow bad about myself that I wanted to quit watching it after a few minutes because if I had... I would have never understood it and know what people behind it were trying to show.

I think this must be one of the most misunderstood films I have ever watched... So easy to think it is something what is not...

Imagine a secret story hidden during a time of fascism and propaganda. This is what it is.

I don't think it is something that non-Polish people can enjoy. It is just a big helpless laugh at what's have been going on in Poland. It hurts... because there are lots of right-minded people in my country... just in the wrong places...

... but again same thing all over the world I guess. More or less but same. We are all connected either we want it or not.
