These 8 minutes we got here are the music video for the song "Family Feud" by Beyoncé and Jay-Z from earlier this year and it managed to reach millions of views already in the few months since its release. The cast is spectacular. I won't mention all the actors' names here, but check out the list and you will find a better cast than most Hollywood films have to offer these days. But this by no means indicates that this was a good watch. On the contrary, the talented actors had nothing to work with. Their scenes may have been a success as part of an actual movie, but with the nothing we know about them, it was a major disappointment and utterly pretentious. The music by the two protagonists starts around the 5.5-minute mark, so it is really not a lot. And actually, it is basically Jay-Z only. Beyoncé has amazing vocal range, but she is reduced to providing the background vocals for her husband's rapping and honestly his lyrics are far from good. Costumes and sets are as pompous as it gets and the inclusion of Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay adds absolutely nothing. This was a terrible watch from any perspective. The ambition is all there, but the execution is lower than low. Highly not recommended and it hurts me to see stuff like that looking at how good Jay-Z and Beyoncé were (way) earlier in their careers. You really wanna skip this one.

I appreciate this team ( and power couple) as they are constantly moving up and forward. The video is eye candy .The cast costuming and visuals are exceptional and it's meaningful. I am not someone who can comment on music it's way too objective. it can't be easy putting a message to music, creating a new genre in entertainment, basically from scratch - elevating , informing and entertaining . They continue to walk a fine line between being stars and keeping it real - not easy - I can't imagine. Eyes are on them , they are not obligated yet they continue to touch base and bases.

I applaud each venture from BeyZ !!!

Don't adhere to a word of the previous scathing review by Hourt in Translation. This short film is amazing. The cast and the story is fantastic. A view of the future never ever before seen exists in this short film, that alone is a feat worthy of a feature film. Ava's work here is absolutely stunning. You are watching a director in her prime. The photography and performances are second to none. All this set to a song which is maybe the best cut on JAY-Z's album. This is maybe Ava DuVarney's best work. A MUST watch!
