  • Warning: Spoilers
Before tearing into this show, I have to give credit because this is Dan Schneider's first attempt at animation. But even then, that's not enough to save the show which in my opinion is a literal ripoff of Johnny Test, Teen Titans Go, and possibly Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It's possibly a new low for Nick (although I have seen worse from the network).

When I saw that Nickelodeon was bringing back old shows (Hey Arnold, Rocko, and Zim) and making original, creative game shows like Paradise Run and Keep it Spotless, I thought Nickelodeon would be slowly returning to what they were in the 90s and 2000s and approach a 2nd golden age or bronze age. But I was wrong (VERY WRONG).

Where do I even begin with this Nicktoon (if I can even call it that as it disrespects the brand name)...

    1. The animation, OMG, did they really have to use flash animation. They obviously have 27 FREAKING YEARS worth of resources to produce good animation (even if it's by computer) and the team made no effort to actually create fluid, proper animation. Even the animation in Nickelodeon's worst cartoons (like Breadwinners and Fanboy & Chum Chum) manage to be better than this.

    2. Plot: The plot and structure is pretty much what you would expect in an episode of Henry Danger or The Thundermans except add gross humor and even more unfunny jokes/gags.

    3. The Characters:
    • Henry/Jace Norman: He's even worse in this 'thing' because he constantly integrates his catchphrase "Feels Good" into every response after he does something good or remarkable (which he barely does). Although Jace Norman is an ok-decent actor, this is not his best performance.
    • Charlotte/Riele Downs: I have mixed thoughts about Charlotte both in this and the sitcom. Although she can be decent for 2/3 of the time, she doesn't serve any purpose. You can remove her or kill her off and the show will function just fine.
    • Jasper/Sean Fox: Annoying, boring, and pretty much the same as in the sitcom.
    • Piper/Ella Anderson: I wanted to talk about Piper the most. I think that both in the sitcom and cartoon Ella Anderson has definitely improved her acting both in this show and the sitcom as Piper. While in Seasons 1-2 she started out as one of the show's brattiest and most annoying characters, by Season 4 she became more mature, kind, more sarcastic (in a good way), and just overall a pretty good character. I think she and Charlotte might be the only 2 good characters in the show as of now and I have a lot more respect for Ella Anderson now than during Season 1 of Henry Danger.
    • Captain Man/Cooper Barnes (THE WORST, congrats Piper you've been dethroned): Where to begin: obnoxious, bratty, immature, rude, and just a terrible character. He behaves like a crybaby and acts like a smart aleck to Henry and even Charlotte. Like Henry, he is barely funny even in the first two episodes and I can't even go without him for 5 minutes. Can I even call him "guardian of Swellview" cuz he doesn't look like a guardian to me (especially afer Charlotte killed that popcorn monster saved the kids on the school bus but didn't get any credit from him). He is one of the worst sitcom characters I've ever seen. I'd rather watch Johnny Test for 5 to 7 straight hours rather than this guy for 10 minutes (at least that show was tolerable and it was created by the same guy behind Ned's Declassified).

    4. And finally, this show just insults the Nicktoons brand that has been the memory of millions since 1991 (like School of Rock 2016 insults the Music Industry). Fewer quality Nicktoons air now and new ones that are actually great don't even get a chance. Instead, Nick's president Cyma Zarghami focuses more on sitcoms and has been since the network's decline in 2008 (I have a theory to why but it's complex: something to do with girl power and the fact that sitcoms are cheaper to make). Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider need to know that just because you turn a sitcom into a cartoon doesn't mean it's a Nicktoon. A Nicktoon is considered to be an ORIGINAL animated show that's just creative, timeless, and not like any other cartoon. For superheroes, you have examples like Danny Phantom (BRING IT BACK), My Life as a Teenage Robot, The Crimson Chin from Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron (technically), and even SpongeBob (Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy). For this reason, I'm still calling this 'thing' a sitcom.

Dan Schneider, you're a great man and you have made incredible shows for the past 20+ years but I think the time has come for you to step down. You're running out of ideas and Nickelodeon has turned you into a Cash Cow. I just hope that the Invader Zim movie can inspire you to never go down that path again.
  • Now, when I heard that this show was going to be directed by Dan Schneider, I immediately gave up any chance of the show having some decency.

Now, with the hilarious exception of "Drake & Josh", all of Dan Schneider's works have been unfunny, uninteresting, and often uncreative, boasting horrendous acting and plastic humor to go along with it. Anyone who watches any of his shows outside of the targeted age group will be guaranteed to lose a few brain cells.

"Henry Danger" was not an exception. With unbelievable characters, ridiculous plots (even for a story about a superhero and his sidekick), and not to mention boring action sequences (whenever they do happen), the "Henry Danger" show is destined to become a forgotten show that society should do without.

When I heard that "The Adventures of Kid Danger" was going to be animated, I thought that Dan Schneider would get his chance to make something good since "Drake & Josh"... or, at least it would be marginally better than "Henry Danger". However, I can now decide that this show is majorly worse.

The characters are not only unbelievable, but also so annoying it isn't funny. The action sequences are just as unimpressive, but I can give a point to "Henry Danger" for actually having real people in the shoots. And the humor... it has immediately gone downhill to stupidity and slapstick.

As my final note, I do NOT recommend anyone to watch this, unless if they wish to perhaps (possibly) find a decent episodes among Dan Schneider's works, for there usually is.
  • Yep, it looks like Nick wanted their own version of TTG. The live-action Henry Danger series really didn't need an animated spinoff, but then Nick saw that Cartoon Network had their popular (yet abysmal) Teen Titans Go and said "Let's make our own version, using Henry Danger!" Seriously, this show is so bad it makes me miss Teamo Supremo and Zevo-3. Yep, both of those are better shows than this crap! Ugh, enough with the bad superheroes shows, already!
  • It's so stupid. The live action was better. And the live action was bad enough. It has do many cringy jokes. I mean ugh. My little brother who is 2 hates this show.
  • This Show Is Okay But Not The Best. Just Another Mediocre Show, A Bit Like TTG In A Way.
  • I watched each episode last year in 2020, and most of them sucked. While a few were alright, there were so much garbage episodes.

Seriously why did they make an animated version of Henry Danger? It just feels completely unnecessary.

Each episode has different problems, but the main problem with this show is the animation. Every character design looks like they were from a 2000's educational website with no budget.

Most of the episodes are either boring, annoying, have painfully unfunny moments, filler, unlikeable characters, or even all of the above.

You might as well watch Henry Danger because even though I don't like that show, it's MUCH better than whatever this crap is.
  • Henry Danger (as a live-action series) was already a pretty pitiful attempt at superhero comedy, from the long-since faded star of Dan Schneider with the single most redundant animated spin-off ever created. "He made Drake & Josh, he made iCarly" iCARLY ENDED 8 YEARS AGO!!!! Ever since, Schneider has been on a crusade of career suicide for most of the 2010's to effectively purge any kind of enjoyment his work EVER had and coasting off his successes from over a decade ago that the target audience would only know of through reruns on Teen Nick. Pretending for a second you could LIKE Henry Danger, there's literally nothing that separates this from the original, aside from cheaper-than-oxygen animation, stiff movements that make the animation puppets move like they're giant cardboard boxes, and flat, uninspired character designs. In a world still recovering from the aftermath of the Powerpuff Girls reboot, the DC Cinematic Universe dumpster fires like Suicide Squad and Batman v. Superman, there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that should keep you from watching the original Henry Danger series; yeah it's awful, yeah the laugh track is obnoxious and blares over the show so much to the point it doubles as background music, yeah the characters are horrible, insufferable morons, cartoonishly insane (not even in the fun way, but in a "How are you even allowed in polite society?!" way) or some mutant crossbreed of all three, but this is just the equivalent of a Dollar Store knock-off of an already awful, embarrassing D-Grade superhero movie. Thank whatever heavenly being/s of choice that the Schneider Era is well and truly dead and it's only a matter of time until this series finally FINALLY kicks the bucket.Good riddance.
  • This is easily one of Nick's most disgusting, weird, pointless, badly animated, cringe, and unfunny cartoons ever made. Basically all of the characters here are annoying (like they were in the original show) and the jokes in this cartoon are pretty much all just crotch jokes and it's incredibly annoying. Watching this show was a very uncomfortable experience and I am not surprised this didn't even stay on the air for a whole year.

My 8yo likes the show, but as a parent, the show seems have lost its way as characters that show good role models. Not happy.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This is so far probably the worst nicktoon made. Heck say what you want about Breadwinners and Fanboy and Chum Chum. They at least have energy and creativity in them. This cartoon is just boring, lazy, uninspered and an awful cartoon from an already awful sitcom (which is still better than this). The flash animation in this looks so generic and bland. I have seen better uses of flash animation from youtube.

The plots are boring, uninspired, and done better on other cartoons. They usually involve the characters messing up and acting like complete idiots about it. Not even in a funny way. In the first episode. The main characters (Captain Man and Kid Danger), caused a popcorn monster to wreack havoc. Just so they can have two identical pieces of popcorn. The jokes are also terrible. Bland grossout humour, like Charlotte's arm getting eaten by a pig, and dated internet references for instance.

The characters in this cartoon also mostly suck. Captain Man acts like an idiotic jerk. Henry Danger is slightly less of a jerk. But still an unlikable moron. These two are supposed to be superheroes. But they cause more trouble than help. They are other characters like Charlotte. Who is the voice of reason; but gets treated like the Butt Monkey, without deserving it.

I think that this is a worser superhero cartoon than Teen Titans Go and The Powerpuff Girls Reboot. The reason why this doesn't get a 1/10 is because I think Charlotte and Piper are find characters. This cartoon can at least go to new territories that the sitcom can't make. Frankly the last is that this cartoon doesn't offend me as much for it just being to dull. But The Adventures of Kid Danger is still trash and gets a 2/10 from me.

Its been a long while since I reviewed something. But I will try to do more reviews. Bye.

Edit Dec 8, 2022: After thinking about it, this cartoon doesn't have any redeemable or enjoyable qualities. Despite suppose to being the straight person Charlotte doesn't do a good job at it. As well as despite being a cartoon; its still really dull and doesn't use it to its extent. Might have to rewatch it soon, probably change it to a 1, its still definitely the worst nicktoon and basically a souless cashgrab.
  • My original review here was ignorant and outdated, so here I am redoing it. Anyway, this series was hilarious, and while I (and probably everyone else) prefer its live-action counterpart over it, I still think there's 3 things Kid Danger did better. The 1st thing is having half the episode length as Henry Danger. Due to now being 11 minutes over 22, they have the time to do shorter plots without the episode being stretched. The 2nd thing is weirder plots. Henry Danger is far from grounded in sanity, but being animated helps it do weirder plots (like how could a popcorn monster work on a live-action TV budget and not look weird?). The 3rd thing is the removed laugh tracks. Don't get me wrong, I love laugh tracks, but they usually break the flow of speech between characters. Without it here, lines like "That looks like a shoe." "Your mom looks like a shoe." have the best delivery it can get. All in all, it's a great series, but the live-action show does most stuff better.

This show is based off the live action show Henry Danger, but falls short. While understanding why an animated version was created, it doesn't quite work. The characters don't seem one with their live action counterparts. It isn't nearly as funny. My five year old likes it better than the live action one which he loves, so I suppose it worked well to bring younger children into the Henry Danger world. However, I'll stick to the original.
  • And the whole vibe of the show is of freedom. That's the beautiful side of cartoons. It is well-made, and while I understand that's same humour as the live-action, the result is beautiful. I'm not a child and not that fan of Dan Schnider. But there is this vibe of freedom when you watch that, they have their adventures in the open and the sunny weather. Some of the plot line is creative. This is the real beautiful side of animation. Give it a try.

This show is just not good, and nowhere near as good as the live action series. I'm not sure what the point of making it a cartoon was because it doesn't do Henry Danger justice. I'll give it 4 stars because the animation is nice but that's about it?
  • The crew could have easily created this spinoff animation series better. It was a great idea to continue the storyline in animation form but it was not executed enough. It is a real shame. The cast continued to commit and connect to the storyline and to their respective characters in a really great and strong way. The chemistry between the cast members continues to show in a fine way. This spinoff animation series continues to reveal to viewers from the original series the courage and determination that everyone is possible to gain. It shows that anyone can go to the limit in doing anything that they want. This is a spinoff animation series that could have been better.
  • I like this show. It's silly funny. The characters are the same as on the show so it's good enough for me. Wish they had more episodes.
  • This is the greatest show in existence. Everyone who watches this should get on their knees and praise the lord for allowing this amazing idea to come into Dan Schneiders wonderful mind. I shall benchwatch all 10 episodes of this show until the I die I almost had a heart attack when I found out that this work of art was going to be cancelled. Anyone who had to do with the cancelling of this show and said such horrible things about it need to get some serious mental health. Why would Nickelodeon want to keep such an awful show like spongebob squarepants running so long that as of now it has over 10 seasons but leave such masterpieces like the adventures of kid danger cancelled with only 10 episodes under its belt. Ot disappoints me that people could have such horrible and inaccurate taste for such a masterpiece. Everyone should sit down, watch this show, and see it for what it truly is..... A MASTERPIECE!!! 10/10
