This movie was a blast. I loved seeing my favorite super hero in LEGO form, which were my favorite toys growing up. I absolutely love how the movie tries to be somewhat dramatic and complex, while still obviously being directed towards kids. This movie is likely to show really young kids why all of us fell in in love with this character to begin with. Only reason I am giving It a 7 is because I obviously can't take It very seriously as It is for kids. Also, why does Dr. Fate sound EXACTLY like the principle from American Dad?

dasa10815 August 2021This film has Flash as the protagonist and this film insists on exhibiting him as the buffoon of the group. Apart from this, the rest of the superheroes demonstrate their incapacity against much less powerful villains, which raises doubts about their individual and group efficacy. Flash faces a space-time challenge and will finally be able to overcome his great problems and make it easier for good to triumph. The film manages to suggest science as something attractive to children and also facilitates a series of humorous and pleasant moments that make this film recommended for the whole family.

scythertitus26 March 2018With the LEGO movies there is a definite divide in quality between those they release in cinemas and those that go direct to DVD. While this makes sense it is definitely something to be aware of when watching this movie. While the cinematic releases look to satirise and question, the B-team LEGO movies are much more straightforward affairs.
There is definitely still humour and a bunch of references to DC characters and storylines, but most are pretty basic and the humour is much more child orientated. Think of this as the difference between watching a Pixar movie and one from Dreamworks. Both mostly look the same and are at least in part marketed towards kids, but one actually has some substance behind it and can be enjoyed by adults as well, and the other is pretty much kind of fun at best.
Overall there is nothing wrong with this movie, especially if you are looking for something to entertain the kids on a rainy day, just don't expect anything more from it than that. -
rmggeeked14 February 2018When you watch this expect a Lego Movie. The Flash is funny, and entertaining. Filled with jokes, and easter eggs. The Flash has to find out how to properly use his powers for himself and the good of team. I got a lot more than I was expecting from this Lego Movie.

paul_haakonsen9 June 2018I sat down to watch this LEGO animated movie with my then seven year old son, whom immensely enjoyed it. And I must admit that this was definitely one of the better LEGO superhero animated movies that I have watched with him.
Why? Well, because the story was actually appealing to more than just children.
The dialogue was good and the storyline was good. And it did of course have good animation, and lots of attention to detail as there always are in these LEGO animated movies.
They also had some nicely talented performers for the voice acting. And that is quite important for an animated movie. Without spirited and committed performers, the voice acting is just stale and the movie suffers from that.
Definitely worth watching if you have a love for these LEGO animated movies. -
Easily my favourite Lego DC DtV movie (I've seen them all). The makers are doing a grand job of expanding their universe; as well as the usual Lego Justice League, here we get Atom, Firestorm, Zatanna, Dr Fate, Plastic Man, and B'dg. Plus Reverse Flash, Krypto, and Ace the Bat-hound!
Incidentally, it's interesting that despite featuring the League prominently, this is only the second Lego DC DtV to have been released under a single character's name (the first was Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite back in 2013); the rest have all been released as JL movies (even the Flashpoint DCUAOM was released as Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox). That's possibly a result of the poor reception of the live-action JL and a desire to get audiences more used to the Flash as a solo brand ready for his live-action solo movie.
Anyhow, as usual there are various nods to DC lore tucked away for the finding. Much as I love the 'serious', darker toned DC comics/films, it's perfectly possible to enjoy these movies too. If you like the Lego DC movies I wholeheartedly recommend this one. Easily 9/10 -
These straight to DVD lego DC movies actually impress me somewhat. I'm not saying they're really good, but the fact they're pounding them out at the rate they are and the quality of the animation is very impressive.
In this little tale the focus is on Flash as he's tricked by Reverse Flash with plot to take down the Justice League once and for all.
All your usual favourite voice talent are present including veteran Troy Baker and as mentioned it all looks great and the voice acting knocks it up to the next level.
The story though, the young demographic, the goofiness of it all without actually managing to be funny the majority of the time..........unforgivable.
One for the kids absolutely, DC fans maybe just about, everyone else not so much.

ACSpader3 March 2018Heavily featuring the Justice League, this fun little meta adventure follows Flash on a journey of self discovery. Silly, sassy, with all your favourite voice actors and all the self-aware nods Lego usually brings. Lots of familiar DC faces and places, it's no Citizen Kane but it's a ball.

Snootz9 July 2018If you're over 7 years old you can give this one a pass. I have enjoyed some past Lego super hero movies and would even label one as brilliant-- but this one fails on just about every level. It's not funny (I think I chuckled once). Parts of it are extremely absurd, even for a children's super hero flick. At 1 hr 5 min it's about 45 minutes too long. Trite, forced-storyline, and just too full of itself to be a good film. By the time it was through *I* wanted to go super-villain on the Justice League. And is anyone else getting really, really tired of DC using magic as a solution to everything these days?
Nah, this doesn't live up to expectations of the LEGO/DC franchise. Stay tuned for the next super hero: Dullsman-- bores super villains to submission. -
