  • Absolutely unwatchable. Worse than a high school film project, if that's even possible.
  • Lake Fear 3: Directed by Michael Crum and written by Gerald Crum

What the hell was this mess?!! What were they trying to do? I assume they were going for an Evil Dead thing with the cabin in the woods, man who survives the demons who possess people, the only way to stop the demons is complete and total dismemberment. It seemed like it wanted to have its statue of a lead character utter the occasional one liner. They're terrible. He's one of the worst actors I've seen in quite some time. He's joined by a plethora of amazingly awful actors. We have the blonde girl wearing shorts way too small and her friend who complains the entire time. They seek out help from the host of a ghost hunting show. He's a doofus. They're all doofuses.

This movie has just 20 minutes of story that they then proceed to drag out agonizingly for 79 minutes. Every action taken by every single character every single time was done in slow motion. They move so slowly while making the most idiotic decision imaginably. It was painful to watch such a blatant example of padding I've ever seen in a movie.

At the hour mark, I was pulling my hair out. I mean this happens naturally due to my longer hair but this movie was also responsible for the hair shedding. This was not my idea. I swear it. Normally this sort of stupid crap would be right up my alley. No this was my daughter's idea. She thought it would be funny if we watched the third film in the series after not seeing either of the previous two. Oh how confused we would be. While yes there did seem to be elements from the previous movies that maybe had I subjected myself to them, I might understand better. But I highly doubt that.

This was painful. It drug my enjoyment through the dirt and stomped on it. They wanted to be like Evil Dead. They failed miserably. It had some of the worst acting I've seen in a long time. The sound was atrocious. They could have spent just a tiny bit of money for some good sound equipment. Good sound makes a movie. Bad sound can ruin it. It helps to ruin this mess of a film. I give this movie an F.

    Warning: Spoilers
This film takes place in Granbury, Texas and "Lake Fear 2" took place in South Florida. They are not related, like "Halloween 3" had nothing to do with the series. Remington (Joshua Winch) escapes hell. We get the brief backstory at about 45 minutes. There are two babes (KateLynn E. Newberry/Shanon Snedden) looking for their sister who has been missing for two years (Maybe they should be looking in Florida?) They come across a TV medium (Devi Khajishvili) who helps them because he needs the money. While the film doesn't state he is gay, he swishes more than Senator Lindsey Graham.

Just about everything about the film was bad...okay soundtrack not too bad. The acting wasn't there and it appears the production was going for the early 80's Super VHS look.

Guide: No sex or nudity. Don't recall any F-words in the parts I didn't use the fast forward.
  • This absolute fever dream duration of about one hour will test your patience and sanity, while laughing, if you're a masochist in joy of a bad title.

Alike many horror films of which not many people remember that've spawned sequels, you'll probably at least know what you're getting into, if for some reason you've yet to find out. This third installment lets us know we're in for a treat seconds in, when we're greeted with an ITN Distribution logo.

The film gets credit, however, as unlike a paranormal attempt via the same distribution, we get attempts at gore, or CGI effects. It also supplies plenty of laughs if you're a bad horror conducer- otherwise? That's it. Your patience becomes quickly tested, if the acting and questionable silence throughout doesn't hit, the slow and extreme sense of padding sure as hell will. During this, you'll be blasted by various volume stock-sounds, paired with the bright rave / club colors the movie coats itself in. You will walk into this now formed trilogy having not a slightest clue, and you'll walk out the same way! Only this time you'll have a single word stuck in your head; "Why?"

Writing a drawn out review was more than likely a waste of time, but I know nobody I personally know would have the slightest clue what Lake Fear 3 was, let alone Lake Fear itself. If you're really seeking a good time, watch this with some friends and make fun of this as much as you can. It's intriguing, that's much better than what can be said about many others in similar vibes as this one. .. This however means nothing. Lake Fear 4? Let's not.
  • Best part of the film is the cute guy Vincent (Devi), other than that...WTF??? Spent most of my time trying to figure out what the hell was going on. You have to watch the slow motion demon model walk the blond does...I died laughing. Poor Chole gets bit so many times, I'm surprised her head didn't fall off. This is definetly one for the books. Watch this while drunk or high...maybe both, you'll need it.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Horrible acting, terrible special effects and "gore" and 100% cringe. The plot is never truly developed, leaving most of the plot up for speculation. The acting is terrible with cringe dialogue. The main character barely says anything throughout the film and he is constantly walking in slow mo which gets tired really fast. The girls have no personality, one turns into a zombie with a horrible rendition of how a zombie walks and the other gets bitten on her neck several times in the movie yet doesn't die? The "attractive" actor is useless and he serves as comic relief,(ironic since this entire movie is laughable) yet fails to do a good job of it. The "gore" scenes don't give anything to the plot and aren't very good. The movie is generally all over the place and not once takes place in or near a lake, leaving the title to be misleading at best. All and all a complete waste of time. Save yourself from this f-rated movie.
  • When I watched "Lake Fear" (2014), I didn't think it could get much worse. I WAS WRONG!! "Lake Fear 3" is not the worst movie I've ever seen but it's pretty damn close.

Were all the actors/actresses working from the same script? Better question, WAS there a script?? It appears that during the editing of the final product, and I pray that this is the final, snippets of the film were randomly drawn from a hat and spliced together.

Director Crum should have stopped after the first disaster but felt he could inflict more pain on the movie going public. Congratulations sir, you were successful!!!
