It: Chapter 2 had a great weekend at the box office, and for the most part, it seems like fans have enjoyed the conclusion to the adaptation of Stephen King’s story. I loved the film and I wouldn’t mind seeing more films made that dive into the background and history of Pennywise The Clown.
Director Andy Muschietti is aware that there are plenty of stories to tell in regards to Pennywise’s mythology and that another film could come out of it. He previously said:
“There is a whole mythology to the book though…Mythology is something that always has opportunities to explore. It [aka Pennywise] has been on Earth for millions of years. He’s been in contact with humans for hundreds of years, every 27 years. So you can imagine the amount of material. It’s always exciting to think of eventually exploring this mythology. It’s very exciting. But,...

The story of Stephen King’s It comes to a close with the release of It: Chapter 2, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’ve seen the last of Pennywise The Clown. For those of you who have read the book, you know that there’s a backstory for Pennywise that could be explored in another film.
Andy Muschietti is very aware of this and believes that there’s enough material in the mythology to mine, that a another film could come out of it, and that’s something he’d be excited to explore. During and interview with io9, he said:

It: Chapter 2 director Andy Muschietti has confirmed that the highly anticipated sequel has a runtime of two hours and 45 minutes! That’s a long-ass movie and I can’t wait to watch it! While talking to Digital Spy, Muschietti explained:
“At the beginning, when you’re writing and building the beats of the story, everything that you put in there seems very essential to the story. However, when you have the movie finally edited and it’s four hours long, you realize that some of the events and some of the beats can be easily lifted but the essence of the story remains intact. You cannot deliver a 4-hour movie because people will start to feel uncomfortable – no matter what they see – but we ended up having a movie that is 2 hours and 45 minutes, and the pacing is very good.”

Well, it looks like Warner Bros. has had some test screenings for It: Chapter 2 and someone on social media posted a bit of information, but nothing that the studio will have to kill him over.
In a recent tweet, it was reported that the movie is almost three hours long. It was also said that the movie isn’t as good as the first one. You can read that Tweet below.
It: Chapter 2 is almost three hours long. Pretty good but it needs work - the first is better. And that’s all I’m saying lest WB sue me into an early grave.

I’m sure the film is still in the editing process, but regardless, at almost three-hours long right now, the movie is still going to end up being a long one! Which is fine! I’m up for three hours worth of scares!

While James McAvoy was seriously terrified by Pennywise the Clown in It: Chapter 2, Bill Hader was having a hard time acting scared while they were shooting the film.
Billy Hader plays an older version of Richie in the film, which I thought was perfect casting in terms of the character. The director of the film, Andy Muschietti, just had to push him a little harder to bring the fear. According to the former SNL actor, he would smile while shooting the scary scenes in the film, which is pretty hilarious.
While talking to Conan O’Brien, Hader explained:
"This is my first horror movie, and I'm terrible at acting scared, apparently. When I'm scared, I think I smile. Like, I get nervous and I smile... We would do takes and the director Andy Muschetti would come and he's like, 'Bill, you need to be scared, man.' I go, I was terrified!

Director Andy Muschietti has wrapped production on It: Chapter 2! To celebrate the occasion we’ve got a photo featuring the most of the young cast of the film that make up the Losers Club as well as a teaser poster.
Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer all returned to reprise their roles in flashback scenes that will be included in the film.
The poster just simply gives us the logo and title of the film with the released date of September 6th, 2019. I can’t wait to see some actual footage from this movie, though! It: Chapter 2 is one of my most anticipated films of 2019.
