In the 1980s, Chambers was featured in a documentary aired on television targeting Los Angeles' hip-hop culture such as 1983 documentary "Breakin n' Enterin'," played "Urklebot" on the TV Show "Family Matters," and hosted the TV Show "Fun House,". When Michael Jackson saw the program, he invited chambers to his compound. They started working together on the moves. Chambers made early contributions to Jackson's signature style but received no acknowledgement. Later on, Jackson repaid his contributions by offering him to work as an choreographer for the The Simpsons' "Do the Bartman '' music video and MC Skat Cat in Paula Abdul's music video "Opposites Attract.".
In the film, Michael Chambers reveals how it was like to work in Chaka Khan's "I Feel For You" and "Stop The Madness"(an anti-drug music video with Nancy Reagan.) He was also featured in the and was featured on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon dancing with Jerry Lewis. The documentary made it pretty clear that Chambers became a star, not because of his dance moves, but because of his forward and smart thinking.
