Ateet (Zee5) - Ateet (Rajeev Khandelwal), taken as dead due in war action, returns to find that his wife Janvi (Priyamani) is now married to his friend Vishwa (Sanjay Suri) and his daughter Sana has no idea about him. He has to set things right and reclaim what is rightfully his by revealing a treacherous plot that shut him off for several years.

Ateet is a supernatural thriller with a great premise but absolutely shoddy execution. The secret behind Ateet's disappearance is revealed midway - therefore much of the film is about how he returned and how Janvi traces and connects the leads to know about the reality, and this is where matters go completely out of hand. If a soldier recuperating in an army hospital can write a letter to his wife before he dies to narrate the truth, why could he not make a statement to the authorities about the same? The realm of Ateet also leaves much to be appreciated - too many loose ends, too few explanations.
  • This film is annoyingly slow paced and reveals nothing scary or thrilling until the second half which made me bored and uninterested. Ateet lacks good direction and writing,it is inconsistent and the only thing which made me watch this till the end was the beauty of the locations.
  • Not at all recommended. I don't know how come a director can think of such a script. Please don't waste time.
  • Pathetic movie....save your time....again dont watch please
  • No emotions, zero acting ,predictable story. Even a child can guess the story.Screenplay is really bad. Don't waste your time go and watch some more interesting shows or movies.
  • Why would they cast an actor like Rajeev who is not mature enough which makes thif film to be rated zero otherwise would be one and a half

Only Plus point is acting of majority of Actors including RK, Sanjay Suri , Priyamani and others doing quite well. But the story makes you feel you have just wasted your 2 hours getting nothing of it. It has its moments, but as a whole it's utter failure and disappointing.
  • Ateet started off really well. Rajeev Khandelwal and Sanjay Suri are at their best. Priyamani justified her role. The problem is in the movie script. It started off with great thriller and ended up with a B grade horror climax. Disappointed because, I really thought its gonna be a thriller. There was no need of horror in the movie. Also, Priyamani's character wasn't written well.

    Not a good story...

Fall short for the impression of Rajeev K looking at his past films.

    Avoid and see something better.
  • Its a nice thriller movie. i don't know why people have not liked it. When same thing have been shown in any Hollywood movie people don't get tired of appeasing it. This is hypocrisy of Indian viewers. I found it a decent well written movie. cast and crew is very well aware what they are writing and doing. Story line very nice. I found the thrill till the last. I will recommend everyone to watch this movie.

Rajeev Khandelwal do such a mind blowing acting and the fabulous performance to attract the audience and others are also good but not able to give you the strong message all over i gave it 8
  • The script is weak so good actor like Rajeev k. unable to save the movie. The plot is predictable & repeated many times in movies so there is nothing new.

I had such high expectations with the movie. Why is nobody giving a good script to rajeev khandelwal. I'm he used to be so good at acting.

Ps:can anyone explain why did this character "Ajeet" told "jhanvi" that he will invite "nayab" also. Really? Doesn't he know that he's dead. And also even if we ignore everything else why was there no quality dialogues between both of them at the end. Being stuck at home and doing nothing is actually better than watching this movie guys!

One of the worst murder mysteries of all time. Wrost dialogues, worst story line, worst background score everything is just worst, 2 star only for Rajeev Khandewal, otherwise wrost acting performance of all actors.
  • I FOUND THE STORY VERY PROMISING BUT BAD DIRECTION. FLAWS IN THE EDITING AS WELL. CONNECTION WAS MISSING BUT IN THE END I LIKED THE STORY AND IT COULD HAVE BEEN SHOWN IN A MUCH BETTER WAY. RAJEEV KHANDELWAL WAS NOT USED PROPERLY THOUGH A VERY PROMISING ACTOR. I HAVE GIVEN 7 RATING FOR THE STORY.

After reading negative reviews , almost thought of not watching the he movie but surprise , surprise.

    It's a very decent horror + thriller watch .

First half could have been better but second half just covered it .

    Must watch ...
  • A simply written suspense Drama with an emotional attachment and some scenes which seems quite fearful moreover due to the locations and the vibe or the environment of the Movie. Balanced Performances by Sanjay suri, Priyamani and Rajeev Khandelwal. CAN'T PUT IN COMPLETE AND PROPER HORROR OR THRILLER GENRE. ITS CAN BE CONSIDERED AS A SEMI HORROR SUSPENSE DRAMA .
