Singer boy makes good: woos initially reluctant lass who then in 'behind every successful man there's a tough woman' way, pushes and stands by his struggle to success and standard to Finn singing star success, through alcoholism problems.
The literal English translation of film title is: 'I am a Finn' - or for here, more specifically: 'Finnish Man', this being the title of this bio-pic character's most well known hit single in his home country of Finland (itself a Finnish lyric adaptation to Italian singer Toto Cutugno's 1983 similarly nationalistically titled hit song, 'L'Italiano'): the given English title, 'King of Hearts', possibly refers foreign audiences to the fact that many of his songs were romantic - although in his home country, this would not be so-known exclusively so to himself, as several other Finnish crooner style singers also sung such type of ballads.

Reijo Taipale: Can you still get it up?
Kari Tapio: Yeah...
