Started off with a promise but soon peters out into a drab bore-a-thon with long drawn conversations that lead to nothing. The film is not very clear in what it tries to tell. There's no pace in the story telling. Eventually, it makes for quite dull viewing. A very high rating of 7.8 on IMDB made me watch it on Prime but turns out, this was because only few people had rated it ( giving very High scores).
This would guide you wrongly. Wouldn't recommend this film.
Thought provoking and entertaining. If you want to watch a movie with perfect balace of these two go for this one. Adda is a wholesome entertainer with a deadly starcast. Every character in the film has a unique purpose maintaining the comic momentum throughout the film. Also you will get to know more about Kolkata and it's people through this film.
I really loved the satirical punch towards the current state government of Bengal and the Central Government.
Anyone who loves Bengal can understand through thi movie that people's lives don't stop despite the failures of government.

This is one of those works where intelligence overpowers all the other aspects of storytelling. I think it is very important to know how one would present his narrative before giving it a shape. Director Devayush Chowdhury is seemingly an example of the same. Adda is one of the wittiest renditions representing the cacophony of this joyous city.
Some fantastic performances added to the already fantastic perception of lives in a pandemonium of emotions. The cinematography is top notch, and so is the background score and songs.
Adda is that retelling of the cityscape reflections which will be liked hy people from 15 to 80.
P.S. Don't miss out on the Chini Go Chini Tomare rendition.

I am not Bengali but I am from Kolkata. This movie captures the feeling of missing Kolkata and that nostalgia perfectly. If you are from Kolkata and live in any part of the world then you must watch this movie!
