Molly Williams, a former slave in New York City, is often reported to be the first known female firefighter. She became a member of Oceanus Engine Company #11 in about 1815.
At the end of the sequence where Jim "The Cheetah" drives the ladder truck, Joe (Georgia) asks: "Are we there yet?" as a titular nod to the name of the song that is played through the sequence.
