Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities is more like a mixed bag with quality varying between quite poor to pretty good. The first episode staring the excellent Tim Blake is kinda meh. The script kept pushing that Tim's character is a horrible racist despite this having no relevance to the plot, 4/10. The second episode is more comedic rather than horror however if you don't like rats you're sure to disagree, 5/10. The third takes a while to get going, which for a 45 minute TV show is poor writing however it does redeem itself in the end with a piece of cosmic terror P. J. Lovecraft would be proud of, 6/10. I don't know what input the eponymous del Toro makes, probably not much just like those Alfred Hitchcock presents shows from the 1960s.
