  • What can you expect from this documentary series? You would get to know each and every aspect that happens behind the scenes in a cricket team, which otherwise we don't get to know. We get to see the amount of work and research that goes into the auctions when the teams devise their strategies. We see the work ethic of the players and coaches during training sessions, how they manage and improve the players, especially youngsters. We witness the cultural, regional and linguistic differences within a team and how the management takes care of those issues. We also see how injuries have a big role in team selection and how the coaches balance the players' workloads, particularly for the important ones during injuries. Plus, we also see mini stories for each cricketer's journey in the sport from their childhood, explained by the stars themselves.

There were 2 things that impressed me the most with this series: 1. I got to see how things work behind the scenes and they paid a lot of attention to showing that with lesser amount of match highlights which people would have already seen. 2. It was a very genuinely documented journey of the team and not a tribute which heaped praise on one of the most successful IPL teams. In fact, 2018 was a below average year by their standards and all the reactions and emotions were genuinely captured, positive and negative. I really liked the positive ending where the team accepted their failures and decided to come back stronger as a unit the following year.

Overall, this is a series that should be given a watch by anyone who wishes to know and understand what happens within a cricket team, irrespective of whether you're a fan of MI or not.

    Love!
This is like an Cricket version of HBO's Hard Knocks. I loved it, because I don't know anything about cricket, so this was a great introduction, through the eyes of 1 team!
  • I thought it might be one of those series which will just glorify MI owners and its team. But it was an honest take on what goes on behind the scenes in one of the richest teams in the IPL. You get to see how the players feel after a win or a loss and how they tackle failures and get over it, and to think its not a film but actual cricket players with real emotions makes it all the more interesting.

Mahela J and Shane do a real good job with the team. Interesting to see how little Rohit had to do in terms of strategizing before the match, it was all Mahela.

Hats off to Netflix and its team. Keep em coming guys, new team(RCB) in the second season!

I absolutely love this documentary great work done by Netflix Network
  • Genuine Cricket Documentary!!Kept me glued. Worth binge watching !
  • When I started watching this show, it gave me goosebumps. After the first episode concluded, I was sure I'm gonna expect something amazingly spectacular towards the end. However, the more it continued, the poorer the show became. Mumbai Indians have been a champion side, the best team in the history of T20 Cricket. We have match-winners of all kind. We dominate the Indian Premier league. However, this show, wasn't of any level. It started promisingly but I didn't enjoy much and was ended in the middle. The year wasn't the right too for a series. A Cricket web series with all dressing room things, The test, was amazing. It's one of my favorite, but this one had no level. A simple documentary, with lots to offer, but bad screenplay, timing and execution.

  • Loved this series and encourage you to watch. Refreshing insight on what it takes to run a cricketing unit. Excellent editing, great input by the Ambani's (fascinating to watch their moodswings) and so on and so forth. Don't miss out.
  • Amazing, entertaining behind the scenes look at the world of Cricket.
  • It's a real story of Mumbai Indians, the world's most loved cricket team .It shows how the team became DEFENDING CHAMPIONS under brilliant captain The ROHIT SHARMA.

    Warning: Spoilers
I was disappointed after episode 6, they kept saying MI is loosing and not performing but they don't mention the win with RCB, that is completely missed out. Knowing this fact that they actually won the 4th game leaves bad thought about story line. I have lost interest now!
  • Very poor making. Not up to the mark as netflix content.
