    I'm hooked

Great acting and a great mystery I'm really enjoying this series I don't understand some reviews saying that it's slow. It really isn't as there are so many twists and turns that it really keeps you interested in the show

    Kind of slow.

    3 out of 5 stars.

An interesting thriller. That has the detective trying to figure out who the other Terry is. While things escalate before the court hearing with someone causing chaos.

It is a slow moving story. The direction is dull. It has some creepy eerie tone and moments like the feeling of being watched. But the episode is kind of boring.

Whoa. Roan. Roanoke. Knees bend, arms stretch, Rah, rah, rah!

Another quality episode of this drama, well-acted and with intrigue growing.

With the conflicting evidence playing heavily on their minds, the arraignment day comes and leads to abject tragedy outside the court house. Placed on administrative leave, but unable to shake the details of the case Ralph Anderson (Ben Mendelsohn) continues to try and make sense of what he has uncovered. Meanwhile further townfolk experience despair whilst a hooded figure looks on.

So acting remains top notch. We're away from an ensemble slightly with Mendelsohn very much the lead on this one and it's his characters reaction to the events at the court house and determination to continue the case that we stick with. I like where the story appears to be heading. It's still not 100% clear that there's some supernatural element at play, but possibility still exists and it appears be laying some groundwork for how that might have taken place.

If I'm being critical, there were a couple of elements that I didn't like so much. Anderson's reluctance to engage with his trauma councilor. This dynamic is a bit of a trope now, and I felt it might be been more useful for him to participate, particularly as he's been through it before following his son's death. Also, I think the district attorney character has jumped to his conclusions about the unexplained elements a little prematurely. Especially that he hasn't seen the things that we as the audience have.

But those are just moments in the show that was in general great stuff.

    • Trivia
Ralph (Ben Mendelsohn) says to his therapist, "It's just that when anybody says to me, 'I'm here to help,' things invariably get worse." This is a paraphrase of a famous line from one of former president Ronald Reagan's 1986 press conferences: "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'"
    • Goofs
When the GBI agent tells Ralph (Ben Mendelsohn) about finding the van, he first calls it (properly) an "Econoline" and a sentence or two later calls it a "Chevy". Econoline is a Ford model.
