Feel good refreshing and nice comedy.... nice family entertainer.... I really enjoyed watching. Great songs and nice performance from Vijay.

The brilliance of the story can not be descibed in words. Vijay, Rashmika and all the other actors did a nice work. The movie also contains beautiful and heart melting songs . I think everyone will enjoy and love this superhit movie.

nikree3 February 2022It is as cringe as what Rehna Hai Tere Dil Me, is to new audience (if not more). Totally illogical. Rubbish.
Evidently, a typical masala movie which seems to be set in pre-feminist world. The guy's idealism of a 'homely girl' i.e. Sanskari is even better when compared to a scene where the Bride is shown in bright light for non-knowing her husband, rather giving assent to his dad's choice.
Anyway, the movie is full of fallacies and Very Very hard to digest for a woke being. But it's do-able if you can manage a decent amount of cringe for decent amount of masla.
(TOTALLY SKIPPABLE. If you're not into masala.
It's not even worth the hype and cult build around it.)
Even it should be even criticized, for such sexist and stereotype outlook being in 2018.
Stopping marriages climaxes is unthinkable now after 20 years of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, but it's even worse than that. -

No new plot, twist or anything. Just a time pass movie.

mchinni-4299927 August 2018This movie contains that pure telugu flavour which has been absent from its contemporaries.This is reflected in the way the characters speak, the way we people are in buses, which is primarily how we travel to our hometwons, listening to chaganti pravachanam in the morning, all of these are common to us, and this creates a sense of belonging and nostalgia. I was so immediately and deeply drawn to it, that I felt the intermission came too fast. The music is still haunting in my mind, and helped elevate the mood of the movie to a new level. The comedy was the highlight, since telugu cinema is incomplete without it. The comic timing and delivery of vijay, vennela kishore, rahul was fantastic. Special mention to vennela kishore who is an absolute delight, and caused heavy doses of laughter, coupled with rahul ramakrishna who was on point. What I noticed about Vijay after watching him in a movie for the third time, which makes him distinct from his contemporaries is that, he doesn't sugarcoat his character's feelings. Whatever he is feeling, be it frustration, scared that he has to hide something big from his dad his whole life, regret, reverence for the wife of his dreams, whatever it might be, it is tangible. I felt everything that he is feeling, and from his point of view. I forgot that he's an actor playing a character in a movie, I only see the character and his feelings. There is not even a hint of fakeness in what he does. The way Vijay owns whatever he does is admirable, and this has only become clear to me after watching him for a while, since he does it every time, which is commendable. I am so happy that we have such an actor, who is an absolute treat to watch. Thank you for showing us great cinema and making my family laugh. :D

vjnambu20 November 2018Geetha govindham is the story of Vijay Govind(Vijay Devarakonda), a young and handsome sanskari college lecturer whose dream is to marry a girl who will love him like his deceased mother. He meets Geetha(Rashmika Mandanna) in a temple and falls in love with her but doesn't approach or contact her. When Vijay is travelling to Kakinada for his sister's wedding, he meets geetha in the bus coincidentally. On the advise of his drunk friend(Rahul Ramakrishna), Vijay tries to kiss her but resist himself instead tries to take a selfie. But the bus, hits a speed breaker and vijay accidentally kisses geetha. Geetha slaps vijay and misunderstands him as a cheap person. She informs her brother regarding the incident and tries to capture in the bus so that next morning, her brother teaches him a lesson. But, vijay jumps from the bus and escape. After arriving at his home, vijay comes to know that geetha's brother (subbaraju) is his sister's groom. Geetha saves vijay by refusing to identify considering his good family. Vijay and geetha are later assigned together to take care of the wedding activities. Rest of the film is how geetha's misunderstanding towards vijay is gone and falls in love with him. Though its not flawless its utter sweetness makes you ignore its flaws. The chemistry of lead pair is fabulous. Vijay devarakonda proves his flexibility as an actor. This is his most lovable character ever. From arjun reddy to vijay govind What a transformation! If they had casted an average/below average actor less charming than devarakonda, then it would have been a flop. Rashmika looks beautiful and shines in an author backed role. Another highlight is vennela kishore. When the film was about to turn sentimental, director smartly brings kishore as the groom,who keeps the fun element intact. On the whole its a must watch for rom com lovers.

The fact that geetha govindham is considered a "hit" in itself is astonishing. The film is propagating everything thats wrong and troubling the country in this age.
They encourage dowry, caste system and the script writers have no understanding of *consent* whatsoever! I dont usually expect morally correct movies from TFI honestly but vijay had potential in choosing better! Damn.
1)The heroine and hero fight over how asking for dowry is normal 2)The scene where vennela kishore returns to his home town and starts hugging domestic help is protrayed as "funny". The characters even label him a joke since he does not discriminate people based on caste or class! 3) The first time vijay sees geetha on a bus he goes on to kiss her/ take a selfie with her while she is unconscious. Its downright CREEPY!
Imagine that happening in real life? Yep. Disgusting.
Come on, TFI. Stop underestimating your audiences. -

titonsahashuvo19 January 2020The base of the plot 'Accidental Kiss on Bus' doesn't actually matched with the role of that hero. Though such a seen was necessary to start the story. So, I think It's considerable. :-) Again the tolerance level of the girl was unusually high. Really a girl can't tolerate a guy after such an incident, I think! However, overall it creates a lovely expression with the progress of the story. Will bloom your mind with joy. A must watch if you want to refresh yourself with a sweet love story & obviously have a loving partner! Oh yea, I want add one lovely thing. While I was watching this film my beloved gf called me back after breaking 37 hours arrogance 😍

vegi-gayatri19 August 2018I went to watch the movie with so much expectations, but completely disappointed. There's nothing in this movie. Forget love story, there is no story at all. It looked like incomplete script. I really got a headache. The whole movie is about "madam, madam please madam. Sorry madam". No chemistry between hero and heroine. Movie can run only on overhyped Vijay devarkonda factor. Saving grace of the movie can only be a bit of comedy. Such a disaster. Pellichupulu was much much better. I don't even want to talk about the heroine.

HollyGolightly6119 August 2018Same old love drama between the lead characters. Deverakonda could be replaced by any actor in this movie and it would just be the same. The lead characters were just boring and dumb that you can't even like them. Everything in this movie is so predictable and the twist was deliberately added to make it somewhat unexpected but it wasn't even convincing. Only good performance comes from Vennela kishore who gives good laughs but he only comes at the very end. The friend character was decent but underutilized. Why Nithya Menon was even in it, I think just to distract us how horrible this movie is. I don't understand why this movie is so highly rated lol!!
