McKenna Roberts is starring in the new movie Back In Action!

The 17-year-old actress plays Alice, the quick-witted and resourceful daughter of Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz’s characters.

In the new action comedy, which is now streaming on Netflix, years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily (Diaz) and Matt (Foxx) find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.

Prior to Back In Action, you may have seen McKenna in the Barbie movie, or playing 10-year-old Rue on Euphoria. She was also featured in the movie Skyscraper, alongside Dwayne Johnson and Neve Campbell, and starred in many episodes of popular soap The Young and the Restless.

It’s officially Jacob Elordi’s year.

The rising star has a slew of projects being released in 2025, including Justin Kurzel and Shaun Grant’s buzzy limited series “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” which will be premiering at Berlinale 2025 as a Special Gala.

The sales title series was in development for years at Fremantle before Elordi’s casting was announced in 2022; the project was a Sony Pictures Television production. Ridley Scott revealed in a new interview with GQ magazine that his planned Bee Gees biopic at Paramount Pictures was set aside following some deal issues with the studio. Variety reported in February 2024 that Scott had boarded the movie, which GQ reports “was scheduled to begin shooting in early 2025” but has now hit a roadblock.

“The deal — the studio changed the goalposts,” Scott told the publication. “I said, ‘You can’t do that.’ They insisted. I said, ‘Well, I’m going to warn you, I will walk, because I will go on to the next movie.’ They didn’t believe me, and I did.”

Scott added that he expects to find common ground with Paramount on the deal and for the project to move forward sometime around September. In the meantime, the director has subbed in the post-apocalyptic thriller “The Dog Stars” for 20th Century as his next project to shoot in April.

Robert De Niro pulls double duty for his latest crime drama in the trailer for The Alto Knights, a new film from director Barry Levinson focusing on the story of the real-life gangsters Vito Genovese (De Niro) and Frank Costello (De Niro).

Goodfellas screenwriter and Oscar nominee Nicholas Pileggi wrote the script for The Alto Knights, which stars Robert De Niro as Vito Genovese and Frank Costello, two Italian Americans who head two New York-based crime families in the mid-20th century. Reports about their reign show that in 1957, Genovese tried to assassinate Costello, resulting in Costello exiting the mob to recover from his injuries and distance himself from “the life.”

In the Alto Knights trailer, Vito Genovese does not approve of how Frank Costello runs his family. Genovese says Costello is fooling himself if he thinks he can present himself as an upstanding citizen while running a shadowy organization behind closed doors.

Plaion Pictures has announced that their recent horror film, Blackwater Lane, will be available for digital download starting 27th January 2025.

This chilling movie shot entirely at the eerie Elsing Hall in Suffolk, is based on the bestselling novel by B.A. Paris, who is known for her gripping thrillers. Colman Domingo has been cast in Paramount Pictures’ “The Running Man,” based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King that the author first published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, the studio announced on Thursday.

Glen Powell is set to star. Josh Brolin, Lee Pace, Katy O’Brian and Daniel Ezra also recently joined the cast. Edgar Wright is attached to direct and co-write the story with his “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” collaborator Michael Bacall, who wrote the script.

As TheWrap first reported, Powell will take on the role filled by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1987 film set in a dystopian future Los Angeles, where a framed police helicopter pilot is forced into a violent game show where convicts are hunted down by assassins with the promise of a pardon if they survive. O’Brian is playing one of the other contestants on the show.

Exclusive: After tapping Glen Powell to play the titular role in their new Running Man movie, Paramount and director Edgar Wright now have the man who will be hosting the show. Sources tell Deadline that Colman Domingo is set to play the host of the world’s most dangerous game show.

The new film, based on the 1982 novel by Stephen King that he published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, also has cast that includes Josh Brolin, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian and Daniel Ezra and a November 7, 2025 release date.

A chase thriller set in a dystopian America in the year 2025, the story centers on Ben Richards, a desperate man who participates in violent reality show called The Running Man to win enough money to revive his gravely ill daughter. The show follows Richards being chased by numerous hunters sent to kill him.

The third season of HBO’s hit controversial show Euphoria has been delayed due to a bevy of reasons, but HBO boss Casey Bloys said last month that the series should commence very soon. “We are shooting Euphoria,” Bloys said. “I think we have a start date, mid to late January. Nothing’s changed. Somebody said something online, and then this whole thing started. We are shooting the season. I have read the scripts. We’re happy. We’re moving ahead. All of the actors are in the show.“

Very little is known about this season. Apparently, even one of the show’s breakout stars, Colman Domingo, hasn’t yet seen a script, but he has been hyped about returning ever since discussing it with the series creator, who is coming off of the equally controversial HBO series The Idol. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Domingo appeared on an episode of the U.

Jacob Elordi just might be making his Ridley Scott debut: The actor is in talks to be replacing Paul Mescal in Scott’s post-apocalyptic thriller “The Dog Stars,” based on Peter Heller’s 2012 novel.

Mescal was originally set to have a “Gladiator II” reunion with director Scott for “The Dog Stars,” however, he had to exit after his casting as Paul McCartney in Sam Mendes’ four-part Beatles biopic. Yet now Elordi is expected to take his place. Variety first reported the casting negotiations. IndieWire has reached out to representatives for comment.

“The Dog Stars” centers on a pilot named Hig (Elordi) who befriends an ex-Marine gunman while battling a band of scavengers called Reapers. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where an unnamed pandemic has decimated American society.

Ridley Scott’s thriller feature The Dog Stars has found a new leading man.

Jacob Elordi is in early negotiations to replace Paul Mescal, who had been previously set to star in the 20th Century Studios movie. Mark L. Smith wrote the script, adapting Peter Heller’s 2012 apocalyptic novel of the same name.

The Dog Stars centers on a civilian pilot living on an abandoned airbase with his dog and an ex-Marine amid a devastating pandemic. A random transmission picked up by the pilot’s radio from his 1956 Cessna offers hope for a better life.

Smith and Cliff Roberts serve as producers on the film that hails from Scott’s Scott Free banner.

Jacob Elordi is in early talks to lead The Dog Stars, Ridley Scott’s post-apocalyptic thriller for 20th Century Studios, based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller, Deadline can confirm.

Elordi looks to step in for Scott’s Gladiator II star, Paul Mescal, who was forced to depart due to scheduling conflicts after being tapped to star in Sam Mendes’ Beatles anthology, where he’s rumored to be playing Paul McCartney. Scott first hinted at the possibility of Mescal’s exit in a December conversation with filmmaker Christopher Nolan on Gladiator II.

Set in a near future where an unnamed pandemic has decimated American society, The Dog Stars will have Elordi playing Hig, a civilian pilot living a lonely life on an abandoned Colorado airbase with his dog and a tough ex-marine. The two men couldn’t be more mismatched but depend on each other to fend off roaming invaders.
