I agree that the writers don't seem to be keeping track of previous seasons and episodes. This is the responsibility of the show runner.
It would also be a simple matter for Liz to get a DNA sample from the Redd she knows instead of all the time wasted trying to find people connected with Redd in the past. The FBI should have had DNA samples taken when he turned himself in in the first show. And fingerprints? It's impossible to change them. The Redd who was a Naval officer will match the fugitive Redd.
The phone call at the last second saving Redd from death is so old it farts dust. I remember as a kid watching a George Reeves Superman episode using that same cliche.

This episode my friend is maybe the ultimate degree of awesomeness ever, I cant just describe how amazing this plot was. And I really cant expect or ask for more.
Really I feel terribly bad for anyone who is missing this.

This episode took me by surprise. Red in prison. Let's see how this show goes. I'm invested in this. But for Liz, when Red finds out that she set him up, from Sia's Elastic Heart, these are the words I imagine Red's face saying:
/But there were so many red flags/ /And let's be clear, I trust no one/
/It's hard to lose a chosen one/ /YOU DID NOT BREAK ME/ /BUT YOU WON'T SEE ME FALL APART/
Like a Phoenix from the ashes, Red will rise.

Come on weiters...It took 3 drawn out minutes for Aram to say who had been arrested. When he called he could have just said Mr. Reddington has been arrested.
The wardrobe department failed the women on this show. Samar is a very attractive individual but instead they choose to play down her looks...for what? So, she doesn't stand out over Elizabeth? Well she stands out anyway....her acting skills are far more better.
Like another reviewer said, Megan Boone is a horrible actress, she really does not make viewers feel sorry for her. Instead, watching her or even just listening to her gives most an anxiety attack. How this episode received 8.5 stars as of September 2022 is mind blowing to me.

This episode has the most of everything! I'm surprised it only got 8.9 stars... Red and liz are on a 2 trains both headed at each other. This is an amazing espisode of sweet funny, and bittersweet. Liz is battling her emotions from the bag of bones discovery to her relationship with red over 5 years!! I do believe she would have learned how to play with him... But she constantly underestimates red at every single second and I believe she realized it at the ending of this episode! The battle has begun and you cant keep a bad dog down!!!

Why in god's name did they have to bring in this charcter who serves no purpose- it makes Liz look more of a misfit in this film than she really already is- and that sisterhood looks like it belongs more in Barbi the movie than here. Blacklist has some riverting episodes (The Alaskan isolation of Liz battling a gang of criminals is one lots of the first ones are good - but when its bad its a skip over to the next one with a sincere hope that it stands up to what it claims to be a thriller- There are other characters that I find as a misfire but it is not the actual writing its the persona (Tom Keen) I am uncomfortable with. I do love Glen and some of the cartoony characters.

I'm not really feeling the Jennifer character they've put out there as their interaction changes constantly. They did not get along, then Jen's guardian gets killed and shes mad, and now since the finale of the last season they're in it together, which just feels like an odd change in allegiance.
For the same reason I'm very surpised by what they did in this episode, especially since it feels very poorly thought out by the two gals - as if they have no sense of consequence at all.
The upside is that it provides a very interesting new dynamic where Reddington appears helpless, and Im curious how he will manage to get out of this mess; perhaps even more curious if he'll find out liz is responsible, and what he'd do if he does.

In Season 1 or 2 a character told Cooper that he'd worked with Reddington in the Navy. He clearly knew him plus his personality. That has been ignored when determining that this Reddington is not the real one. As for whether this Reddington is Liz's father I believe there was a DNA test around Season 4 that established that he was in fact Lizzie's biological father. How then can it be that this man is not the real Raymond Reddington if we have had two previous proofs. The storyline is not making sense to me and I'm thinking the writers are unaware of previous storylines and that the series may have jumped the shark.
