    Warning: Spoilers
First let me say that even though I liked this movie, this movie was stretched wayyyy too long. 30 minutes could have easily been cut. Second there were too many implausible things. The therapist was not legally able to tell anyone anything about her patient but she spilled it. 3rd, two people trying to ID the same guy would not be in the room at the same time nor would the detective be allowed to keep saying just tell me it's him. Her not talking, well I think we got the point but a good 30 minutes of film was her sitting there not talking. And who in their right mind takes their wife to a restaurant that his mistress works at? Was it the only restaurant in town? Him getting shot in the head and living without brain damage? Okayyyy again that's a stretch. Last but not least what made me the angriest is why wouldn't you ID the creep knowing it was him, just so he could do this to someone else? It wasn't going to change what the 2 of them did. I liked this better in the beginning but it was so long and got more far fetched. If you have 2 1/2 hours to watch it and don't mind watching people stare off for long periods of time you'll be good.
  • Listen to the low reviews on this one, it is nothing more than a drama there is absolutely nothing to recommend this film and it is barely a thriller but more of a psychological examination of the effects of a home invasion/rape which has already been done many times before and better than this.

Lack-lustre acting , dreadful story (quite a seedy experience actually, I actually felt a bit dirty after watching it) that drags on and on with no end in sight and the end; whilst probably true to life, just finishes this paltry effort off with a woeful, pitiful whimper!

Not a very good movie. The acting is mediocre at best. The worst thing about the movie was the lighting. Everything is dark. Even when it's daytime, it's still quite dark.

    1/10
    WTF
Trust the reviews on this one. No story, no sense and what was that climax?!
  • Worst film I've ever watched don't waste your time.
  • Overall good story, film work good acting good the only thing is they could have easily done it in 90min so some scenes are a bit drawn out almost overdoing it.

This movie started out really good, and then it went on and on, and I felt like it was never going to end. I didn't realize how long it was. And then it was getting so drawn out that I was starting to lose interest. This was a good half hour longer than it should've been.

    Warning: Spoilers
I'm still confused by the ending. Yes you killed the wrong guy but why wouldn't you put the actual guy away in jail. Plus as someone else said the lighting was awful. I turned the brightness up on my tv but it didn't help.

Not the worst movie I've ever seen but also not the best. Would never watch it again.
  • I'll start by saying that this is a long film. Its a two and a half hour slow burning noir. But I never really felt it drag or the tension become weak throughout. It keeps you you guessing all the way through and makes it impossible to see the ending, which I must applaud both the screenwriter and director for not taking the easy, Hollywood "all is well with the world' approach. Made for $150k,it looks top notch and the production values are up there with the mainstream. There were some parts where the acting was questionable however after looking these actors up online, I can very quickly see that this is their first film so top points for carrying it as well as they did. I was pleasantly surprised at how invested I was throughout the film and its definitely a film for those who are looking for something different and outside the convenient "fast food" viewing. A nod back to the old days of cinema.
  • This was a long drawn out movie with a bad plot and acting. The sound effects at times were annoying and loud, there were many holes in the plot and absurd outcomes. The scarey masks on the intruders was trite. Often it was hard to understand what the actors were saying in their Australian dialect, so I suggest you use closed caption/subtitles. I stuck it out to the end to see if the conclusion had any merit. It didn't.
  • I cant understand the negative reviews on this. I absolutely loved every minute and commend the filmmakers for challenging the audiences patience and investment in the story. Movies these days don't take the time and effort to really let the characters live on screen. This film does that well but also uses it to misdirect, deflect and re-allign perceptions of who what and when. Its a beautifully shot and coordinated film and seeing that it was made for such a low budget, I cant praise the visuals enough. Its not for everyone as it is a very long film for its genre, however and if you're looking for a quick fix, I'd say you'd be better satisfied with 3-4 eps of a crime drama on Netflix - which would be the same thing as watching a movie like this from start to finish.

I didn't expect much based on the $120K (USD) budget, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality the film. The acting was adequate and the storyline moved along quite nicely. I didn't notice any problems with production or direction, which is the way it's suppose to be! The ending (no spoilers, no worries) left me feeling incomplete, or I would have given the film 8 stars.

I'd recommend this film to friends and family.
  • What the absolute heck did I just watch. This movie was the worst movie I ever seen and the ending is even worse. The writing, directing, acting, the God awful music, the pacing, the runtime, and did I say the writing and acting?!
  • I lost two hours from my life this film does not deserve one star
  • Why do I give it 3 stars, if it's a complete waste of time then? Well, the budget is limited, so you can't expect miracles, right?

Seeing people praise the special effect And comparing it to GONE GIRL is a disgrace!

The movie is about an hour too long, the dialogue often slow and cliche and the acting pretty poor.

This movie has a very good concept and acting. The problem is this drags 1 hour too long. The editors are to blame. I do not recommend watching just simply to endure a good story with a very disappointing ending.
  • If the scene in which we see Natasha Maymon's exposed were deleted this film would only get two stars from me. I simply couldn't care about any of the characters in this film. A sad story that should have elicited some emotion from me but I was left cold. One of the most irritating soundtracks in movie history. It sounds like it was stolen from a discount crematorium. Seriously, music to burn a loved ones body by.

Once again, I point out that I am not a movie critic and know nothing about the art of cinema but I do know when I have wasted my time.

If you watch "Rage" and enjoy it that's fine with me.
  • I agree with most of the negative reviews, simple storyline, so so acting, especially leading detective. Movie was drawn out unnecessarily, barely any action.
  • Warning: Spoilers
For a 2 1/2 hr flick there's maybe 300 spoken words of dialog. The other 98% is mood music. I don't think there was a single spoken word in the first 45 minutes. In fact the female lead character is rendered mute. There's got to be more to a movie than sad slow piano music.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Husband gets shot in the head but wakes up in the hospital without any visible signs of head injury from a bullet. Later in the movie he somehow gets in the apartment of the guy that did it before the guy gets home after the Husband was following him. Things that drive ya nuts.

The title may give you the mistaken impression that a bit of action in this film. There is not. It just drags on and on, with terrible acting and most annoying background music. Don't waste your time.
  • Beautifully filmed with a story line that makes you wonder WHO and WHY and HOW to the end. Great directing and finest performances by everyone. A cinematic gem of this genre and quality should be given ratings of at least a 7 onwards unless you're looking for the pace and action of Captain America or Spiderman. I applaud everything about RAGE and I will stand by my sincerest compliments any day and time.
  • Excellent Film but I would have liked a complete revenge package at the end. Completely realistic portrayal of some sensitive issues. Special mention for the main characters who performed well.

This movie says suspense and drama, why doesn't it says RAPE? Not everyone likes to see these types of scenes.

The movie is too long, slow and the ending it's terrible. The acting wasn't great either. What a waste of time. I do NOT recommend.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The real murderer and rapist left free at the very end? What a build up.to disappointment.
