This series doesn't hold up when compared to most Brit detective productions. It's something to watch if you don't want to feel lost in intricate plot twists. There are some fun moments, some unusual moments, but nothing extraordinarily captivating.
I've seen Seasons 1 & 2. While watching, I kept thinking this type of series is perfect for people who enjoy a little banter and don't want to have to keep track of plot details and characters.
Easy viewing, i.e. The actors are all perfectly cast. The stories aren't bad at all. No over-the-top violence, no over-lengthy sex scenes.
Worth a look, if you're happy with feeling that you can predict the who-dun-it part quite easily. I enjoyed it. but it's not at the top of my list for containing intrigue and spell-binding material.

I have watched the first two seasons of this TV-detective series. Potsdam is nice place for filming such TV crime series like SOKO Potsdam.
The plots of the episodes varies a lot, the stories are basically interesting almost in every episode. What I like is the dialogue between the detectives. They bring some freshness to traditional male-leaded TV-shows in crime scene.
Unlike other German TV-detectives, there is not so much showing when the actors are driving their cars. And the cars are not too fancy. Old Fiat Punto is just charming!
Maybe there is too much personal things of detectives included in the episodes.

This series is fast moving and about a pair of female detectives, friends, who solve crimes in Potsdam. There is good chemistry between the actors and that makes the characters quite believable. The stories are contemporary, but the speed at which the crimes are solved and how quickly the evidence suddenly appears, is not very believable. It's more like a detective sitcom rather than a serious procedural drama. If viewed in that light, and not over-analyzed, it provides average entertainment value. It is somewhat reminiscent of "Cagney& Lacey" with Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless, the same type of banter between the two characters and rapid fire banter. It's your old time female "buddy cop" sitcom, nothing more than that!
Poor acting and poor direction. Hard to believe that German cars are great and this is a sub-par production. Amazing it went longer than one season. One of the reviewers mention that " it's not very deep". An understatement for sure.
