Well you have to hand it to the team that brings us Vera, this series has been terrific, a real high point, it is fitting then, that it signed off with real quality.
They pulled out all the stops in terms of story, we had a deep intricate story, and a cold case, not usual form for Vera. It really had a sense of mystery, plus it had a real personal interest for Vera, resulting in some irascible behaviour, and some great scenes with Aiden, finally he confronted her.
Great guest performances from a rich cast, Michael Feast, Daniel Ryan and Claire Higgins to name but a few, each were great.
Halfway through I found myself googling Vera Series 10, please don't end it there, it is marvellous.
Superb episode. 10/10

Brilliant. Will try and upload the pictures i took x
A great conclusion to the season, as a skeleton is found in a tunnel in Whitley Bay. The case is a bit too near home for Vera, as her dad may have been involved in the killing and she is very shifty, keeping things from Aiden before it all comes pouring out. Brilliant stuff. As usual the locations were great. One minor point, I'm not sure how Vera made the leap and suddenly realising who the killer was. It made little sense, but that's a minor point.
I'm not going to say anything about the plot, this is purely about the technical side, The Direction is terrible, Quick jumps and strange close-ups, odd 'arty' angles and framing, with over-bearing, very sporadic soundtrack to emphasise important bits. The indoor shots are like a 1980s soap. Was it shot on video tape? Massively distracting from the plot once you notice it. Honestly, I really liked all previous episodes of Vera, but I just couldnt get past the the weirdness of how it looked. By 45minutes I was laughing at the quality and totally distracted from the (very serious? - I couldnt tell?) plot.
