  • It was funny for a while and then it became infotmative. I'm not complaining but then I watch a stand up to not think about what's happening around in the world. I just want to sit and relax and not think about anything heavy. But still it was fun to watch and would look forward to his upcoming movie Go Goa Gone 2.
  • Though to be honest I am not a big fan of Vir Das but this was exceptionally good. I don't know whether Indians are smarter or not but Das is definitely a smart writer. I enjoyed the writing very much. Certain punches were really hard hitting. Though I won't say it an upright funny piece but it had me engaged to it. I was continuously smiling with some occasional laughs. He is definitely one of the tent-poles of Indian stand up comedy. And this piece definitely enlightens me and encourages me to watch more of his works.

He narrates very well covering almost all aspects. Good watch overall
  • I saw it live in Ludhiana, it didnt make me laugh much it felt like ted talk. He talked like all his punches were very clever but I didnt find them that genius as they were pretty obvious. It sure made me smile and had one -two good laugh, but it just wasnt a good enough stand up performance.
  • Honestly this review doesn't deserve 10 stars as it would be a little ludicrous of me to review a comedy show 10 star when I was enlighten and taught many things and issues in this special. Vir das doesn't only create a story to make people laugh but he actually enlightes them by telling them how dumb they really are without letting them getting hurt. He touches sensitive topics and then turn them in a dark comedy but what he is trying to say to you sticks with you after show is over. You will see things he showed you and then know that it's wrong to do those things and will laugh after that.
  • This is Vir Das at his best. As an Indian citizen in America, I found the content extremely relatable, funny and in some cases inspiring. Hats off to you Dr. Das! Keep it coming.

PS: I regret selling your show tickets at the last minute in Philly as I was tired from the whatever Rocky Run in the AM that day.
  • This was one of the best stand up from Vir Das and I'm saying that because it contains a lot of good messages with the right amount of fun. I agree it is not his most funny one, but it definitely his most fun to watch stand up.
  • This was one of the best stand-ups I have seen in such a long time. Vir Das kept me engrossed and I laughed so hard that my mom had to keeping hushing me down. I have been following Vir for sometime, but this has been his one of the most intense, moving, intelligent and engrossing act. His words are refreshing and stay with you even after the act. Loved it!
  • I attended some of his shows back in 2012. He used to be a hilarious guy but this special was full of cringe.
  • I have seen 100s of comedy shows and I am very sure that this is one of the best piece i have ever seen...hadn't been a big fan of Vir until this..super hilarious and very informative and educational too.. Just had the best 1 hr of my life. Thanks Vir

Well for me this was one of the hilarious one i have watched in last few months...... seeing Vir again is like a treat. I understand people have negative views about him but as he said "it's a beautiful lie afterall"
  • He is a good narator.. most of the jokes are not that good but the way he says it is good
  • Love. Loved it. Will always love it. Till the end of the time.
  • Typical liberal comedy by basing cultures. Learn from Russel Peters you idiot he make jokes on people without offending them.

Such a smart piece written by a smart man. I can relate to every bit of it and laughed throughout. He did a exceptionally great job 🙌
  • Very nice superb. Nice ideas about regions and so many funny things.

Couldn't sit through more than half hour. No new jokes. Poor execution. I had hardly a few chuckles throughout his performance.
  • Irony of the title is that Vir has really lost it. He used to be a nice comedian side kick for movies but somewhere between finding a balance between a cool leftist (that this guy really is) and a so called stand up guy, Vir lost it bigtime. He has been trolled and hated to such an extent on social media for his know India hating stances that he has really lost it. He actually lost his funny side while becoming anti national and thats what is sad about this whole act. It is unfunny, pretentious and above al dry as heck.
  • Not gonna lie, I like the guy. Never saw him, never seen a fun, charming Indian before, all I see is them asking women for "bobs and vegana" online.

Well that thirst seems to translate in pandering for this guy. I really think he can be fun, but most of his "jokes" (technically just statements) didn't even try to be funny.

If it wasn't for the gross pandering I'd easily drop a 7 score purely because he **seems** like he could become a good comedian. But with all this cringe I had to hear halfway through this special I don't feel bad brushing this off, though I feel bad for wasting 50 precious minutes of my spare time.
  • Such a pathetic, shallow piece of crap. Since when it is ok to bash Hinduism or any other religion to make money? What the crap is wrong with people, Vir try to do something better at life, comedy is not for you. You look that you are struggling .
  • Should not call himeselfna comedian. He is a propogandist pushing for communal discord and violence. Shameful guy. Paid puppet of politicians. Worse- HE'S NOT EVEN FUNNY!
  • Warning: Spoilers
The fact that he thinks that Thanksgiving is a Christian tradition or holiday is kinda cute. I enjoyed it like some noise in the background while im working and every once in a while i would look up at the tv and he's making a joke about something and he thinks he's done it very cleverly. The only problem was that none of it was clever. Making religious jokes isn't comedy its an observation of over six or more thousand years anyone can make fun of a religion provided they have studied it. If you study it you'll know which part to pull and exploit. The last thing. Saying phrases like let it sink in and passing arrogant comments at the audience is a very cheap move. Mockery is not comedy. These are the same people who paid to watch live. Overall not a bad thing but i think all his facts weren't straight when all he talked about was facts.

I was hoping for better content after very underwhelming first Netflix special by vir das. Nice try though, performance was good but needs better material.
  • Tried over simplifying a lot of complex issues - Example :equating governments in US and India. Trying to make religious jokes that are not really jokes. It comes down to it not being funny. Its not entertaining, No new angles on Religion or Politics. Just some Twitter posts turned into a giant monologue.
