  • It was a very sweet short film, although I did not understand the extreme short film, it was a perfectly normal and entertaining short film.

But I think it could have been a little more detailed and could contain more messages, I found it very superficial but sweet, I shouldn't expect anything too much.

Stop motion is a beautiful thing and this is a good example of it, but I would have had more fun if I had seen a little more action.

I think youtube works like this should increase so that we can watch and avoid empty videos.because I think there has been a lot of deterioration in the videos lately.
  • 'Rebooted (2019)' is a short film focused on an outdated stop-motion effect as he struggles to get work in an increasingly digital world. The piece is brought to life using a combination of techniques that culminate in an impressive and unique aesthetic. Its visuals are certainly its highlight, as it convincingly renders a variety of famous movie special effects within the same frame. It's also well-paced and admirably tells its tale without the use of words. The overall story seems somewhat lacking, though. There's no real resolution and it's difficult to nail down its ultimate point. If there's a message here, it isn't conveyed all that well. Still, the affair is enjoyable throughout. It's compelling and well-crafted. 7/10
  • "Rebooted" is a short film with a most unusual leading man...and practically no dialog. However, because it's so short and unusual, I'm choosing not to give this one a rating...I just need more in order to know whether or not I really like the short.

When the film begins, you see a stop-motion skeleton performing in a movie much like the Ray Harryhausen classic, "Jason and the Argonauts". However, since appearing in this film, the skeleton's life has been tough...as jobs in films as a skeleton aren't easy to come by....and now he's being replaced by CGI skeletons! What is he and other traditional non-CGI characters to do?!

Seeing a stop-motion skeleton in the real world is a treat....and it makes it worth seeing. My only concern is that there isn't much to the film...and I think it's because it's more of a calling card for a young filmmaker (Michael Shanks) than a movie. Worth a peek.
  • It can be perceived as a parable or eulogy to old times or technology replacing old fashion special effects or loneliness. Important - it is a lovely animation, a well crafted story, the fair music and the best lead character. A film about succes from past, about the desire to discover your place in present and about every day reality in honest nuances and shadows. A short film reminding many others . In admirable manner.
