  • This series is really different than anything else I've seen. And totally shocking. The story takes place in a financial environment, where we get to know the four main characters. They are totally devoid of moral scruples, and provide themselves mercilessly with what they want. Other people around them become objects they abuse in every way. I think it's the only TV series I've engaged in, where I can't find any sympathetic traits with the main characters, but still I just want to see more, more more.
  • But you really have not, before watching season 1 and 2 of this norwegian tv serie about the crazy wild life of some rich friends.

    Dont hesitate.

    Check it out.
  • Great show! Watching the first two episodes, really whets the apetite for more psychological mayhem from brilliant writer/director Øystein Karlsen. (Also, for showcasing sheer range, check out his other mini-series One Night. A charming, smart emotional rollercoaster ride of an extended 24 hour first date)

This is one of the best series I have watched. That it's made by NRK is impressive. It's a story about four friends who totally lack of empathy and their life as the elite. It's based on real conversations with insiders. Highly recommended

The best scandinavian series since the danish hit Borgen. Dark, very funny and extreme in every way. Great acting and the fact that its based on true events makes it even more outstanding. This show needs to go on forever.

This series is something I would not have expected from NRK. Well played by basically all the actors and showing a reality most people wouldn't even know existed.
  • It's been a long time since a series has been able to really shock me... this show managed it.

I applaud NRK for having the guts to make this show as it is, an absolute uncensored head first plunge into the lavish but hollow and abyss like lives of 4 of the most selfish, cut throat, insensitive and arrogant men a show will ever centre around.

99% of us will never be able to relate to these men or their way of life, nor would we replicate or condone their behaviour.

Yet despite all of this, somehow you can't help but like them.

As the show progresses you find yourself hoping they get away with the most despicable and shocking things they do.

I find Norwegians do tend to enjoy dark humour (as do I) this show has it in bucket loads and then some.

The casting and acting is superb, especially from Simon J. Berger who plays the role of Adam so convincingly that you'll both admire and be absolutely terrified of him. The 4 of them really seem to "mesh" into a genuinely believable group of friends of the worst kind.

I've watched season 1 and 2 multiple times while I eagerly await season 3 and I highly recommend this show to anyone not easily offended who will see this for the masterpiece it is.

This is by far the best Norwegian serie i have seen!! And I've seen many! The casting on this is spot on perfect! It took me a while to accept that one in the main character was a slick dude instead of an rough Viking. But the roles in this show was so convincing I was dragged into the show and so disappointed when all 8 episodes was over. This is better then Hollywood series. And so spot on the finance environment not only in Norway but all over the world. The beauty spas and gym are filled with lonely housewife's with nothing to do, that recognize this life. And maybe worry after seeing this show 🙈 I was very surprised that ALL the roles was played so well also by the smaller parts. Big cred to that!! Can not wait to season 2-3-4-5-6-7-8
  • Not that the statement "Best Norwegian series I've ever seen" is a proof of quality but this series is in the same league as Californication, Breaking Bad and Entourage. It most probably will be picked up by Hollywood and we will get a Wallstreet version. This is Wolf of Wallstreet as a series where there are a bunch of wolves (alfa males) that doesn't hold back on anything. This is an insight into the filthy rich lifestyle where millions are spent on sex, drugs, alcohol and parties.
  • A really amazing first season where no character was likable and yet you couldn't stop watching. Everything on the script made sense, even considering the abnormalities of these guys. Great performances, a truly remarkable show. Extremely original. A perfect 10.

Then season 2 came. Terrible. Anything seeded by the season 1 is twisted for no reason, characters' behaviors are random and illogical, conversations are boring, the script goes nowhere, nothing is believable anymore. Minor example: a guy from a group gets punched in the face in a party and his friends just continue drinking, unmoved, and the rest of the guests do not care either: this is the kind of stupidity of all the second season, multiplied by 1000 (just compare this scene with a similar one in the previous season). Nothing is credible anymore.

I was sure the director and/or the writers were different for the second season. Apparently they had a solid script line and ideas for the first season (maybe based in real facts?) but they just made up "some random complications" for the second season just out of thin air - and it shows. Bad job, guys. Try much harder. Try to have coherent characters at least. I could give you dozens of examples but I don't want to add spoilers.

Bottom line: enjoy the first season and save yourself from the torture. Season 2 is a shame.
  • Absolutely eager for a third season. This show is sick, with psychopaths and a lots of black-comedy scenes. Norway really made it, a great Tv-show! 🇧🇻
  • If the objective is that from minute one, I want 95% of the characters to die among atrocious sufferings, I must say that: objective accomplished.

Other than that, the series is fine, it's entertaining, but somewhat repetitive and empty (like that kind of person, I guess). The cast defends those 'bugs' well, the storyline could have been somewhat stronger, but hey, with such human monsters their life explains itself.

If it is really based on conversations with real people, deep down I pity them, being so miserable, hidden under a super facade, I don't know ...
  • S1 was good, fresh and spiced up with some "true" stories from Oslo finance. However the good true stories are told quickly and already by S2 it is evident that the play writers have to start making up the absolute majority of the stories. This is toxic for the show, as the writers clearly have no idea about financial concepts (various embarrassing misunderstanding of basic concepts are evident) and seemingly also have very little experience with sex, drugs or violence. The show's two key pillars, finance and sodomy, hence disintegrate spectacularly. The political leanings of the writer and whomever from the Norwegian national broadcasting (NRK) that has influence on the show's content also begin to shine through strongly. Suddenly, the underlying morale of the stories told becomes feminist, environmentally friendly, and even socialist. The women and the financial regulators/ economic crime unit employees are suddenly the heroes and the original main characters become reduced to villains that only serve to personify how the rich don't care about neither women's rights, regulation and law, nor the environment. Difficult to watch S2-S3 for anyone who has worked a week in finance.
  • Really fascinating. The main characters are not likeable, but you can't help but cheer them on anyways. It's got kind of that "the wolf of wall street" vibe to it. depressing, but super thrilling nonetheless.

    Dark, hilarious, funny.

Probably just as true as Fargo.
  • Brutal, dark - yet funny.... in a gruesome way. American Psycho meets Curb Your Enthusiasm and lots and lots of blow and explicit sex scenes. In Norwegian. The acting is exceptiionally good, and the amount of research that have gone into getting everything just right - from the cars to the coffee machine - is astounding.

Great show. A little dark perhaps, but when you consider this is/could based on actually events/storyes it makes it even better! Waiting for season 2.
  • dionyp16 September 2020
Dark but very hilarious, much better then the Hollywood stuff. It's been a long time since I laughed so hard. The casting couldn't be better.

    Nice
Very good show, Reminds me of wolf of wall street. Nice production. NRK makes a very exciting show. I would watch again.
  • Warning: Spoilers
This season, based on true stories from Norway's financial scene, is a good finale in Exit (2019-2023).

It started just like expected; drugs, violence, sex and money. The first episodes were mostly good, but sometimes in the middle of the season, it got too repetitive with the men's daily "doings". But suddenly the story became quite dark, which really made it interesting! I think the last two episodes stood out without doubt. Things got very serious, and the story got more unpredictable than ever. It was a great finale!

I really enjoyed the cinematography in this one. Most of the shots were executed perfectly, and everything just seemed like top quality. You could really feel the high budget! I have to mention that there were some technical mistakes, though, but they are easy to forget.

The actors were fantastic, especially Simon J. Berger (as Adam Veile) and Jon Øigarden (as Jeppe Schøitt). They were totally in for their roles, and they delivered at the top level.

So overall, a good season, that had a good start, but really impressed in the end!
  • And it is Norwegian! Amazing. Of course with some Swedish actors, but still very Norwegian. It is absolutely brilliant and depicts what happens to humans when they either A) Are rich or B) Are not rich but want to be.

Basically it depicts humanity. It depicts all of us. We might not know it, or even understand it, but it does. This is what happens when we find ourselves being able to act like Gods. And if you ever wondered how it is to be rich, or how the rich lives, well see this TV-serie and you will know. And do not think you would be any different, yourself. You would gradually turn into this. You would.

Into series two now and it is almost as good as series one.

Oh, did I tell you? The music is great. And my girlfriend is just as in awe as I am. One of my best friends just told me he wants to be one of these guys, that his goal in life is to be one of these guys. Not so sure myself, but having money (lots and loads of it) would not hurt of course. Or would it? Or do you start hurting - yourself and others - when you are a God? Could you handle it?

I would say that the first season was relatively good, and i think it layed up for a good groundwork for later seasons.

Unfortunately, season 2 dissappointed enormously. It made more questions than it answered. Im therefore convinced that the'll make a lot more seasons, probably just as useless as the second one.

The series at this point, is really only entertainment for people who like to se rich people do things that normal people can't.
  • From Norway comes a series depicting the life of a foursome of uberrich men and their decadent lifes. The episodes goes from being crazy and hilarious switching to pitch black scary situations. That parts of the story is based on actual events makes this series even better. If you thought Succession was a great series this is right up the same alley - but even more disturbing.

    Wow
Amazing, crazy, funny! This serie has it all. I do not understand the negative reviews.
  • It's dark, and very true, in fact the main charaters wife was indeed living in hell, and now have another identity. Although you think this is really bad, the reality was in fact even much worse....not suitable for a tv show to be believed. Reality is in fact too unreal to be belived.

Well, acting is good, stories based on real life, not even painted darker, as you are supposed to watch this. Strangely enough you would like more seasons of this madness :)

Worth to be seen, you will not regret, but you must endure at least 3 episodes to get into it....

Lots of nudity, sex in motion with full graphic like porno on pornhub, and no regrets of their behavior. Really disgusting, but ofc also interesting that they have absolutely no limits regarding right or wrong, as long it serves their interest, and nothing else.

You have not watched anything like this, and when it is also based on true stories and real characters, living today, walking among us, it is interesting to put it mildly to get a glimpse of their life. You will for sure understand that too much money is in fact really bad for your health, and better have just enough to live a good life, and absolutely not too much of it, as it will havoc your life and well being :)
