DC Super Hero Girls portrays the most extreme contrast between Bruce Wayne and Batman for comedic effect. The show uses an over-the-top, vapid Bruce Wayne to effectively conceal Batman's true identity. The exaggerated differences in voice and persona between Bruce Wayne and Batman add humor while maintaining secrecy.
One particular DC animated show has possibly the most convincing way to keep Batman's identity secret, and it's one that many would never have guessed. DC Super Hero Girls was a two-season animated series that aired from March 2019 until October 2021. Similar to Teen Titans Go!, the DC animated show focused on capturing a younger audience, featuring teenage versions of iconic DC heroines including, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, Zatanna, Green Lantern, and Bumblebee.
A key aspect of Bruce Wayne is how he plays up the billionaire playboy persona to help mask his secret identity as Batman. DC Super Hero Girls goes the extra length to portray this idea,...

Young Justice star Danica McKellar’s journey in discovering faith can deeply move even the likes of Mark Wahlberg, who’ve never shied away from vocalizing their devotion to God.
The Wonder Years alum revealed in her discussion on ‘Fox & Friends’ a few months back how she navigated her way to Christianity, especially after harboring several preconceived notions.

The 49-year-old also revealed being around the religion in some shape or form but never really having it click for her until one fateful day.
It was friend and former Hallmark Channel star Candace Cameron Bure, who also moved over to the Great American Family network, who brought McKellar to church one day. That was when everything started to fall into place for the actress.

Batgirl tends to gets the short end of the Bat Stick. Comics-wise, one of her most famous story arcs is ... not particularly fun. Outside of "DC Super Hero Girls," she's rarely front and center in the world of DC animation. Well, except for adaptations of the aforementioned (in)famous story arc which is, again, not particularly fun. Lately, she's even gotten a raw deal in live-action. The character was all set to be portrayed by Leslie Grace ("In the Heights") in a film directed by "Bad Boys for Life" and "Ms. Marvel" veterans Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, only for Warner Bros. Discovery to brutally scrap the whole thing in the middle of post-production as a reported tax write-off. All this is to say, Batgirl deserves better. She deserves someone who cares for her story.
Well, that would be Tara Strong, who began her relationship with the character back...

Jinkies! Brainy Scooby Gang member Velma is finally allowed to be gay in the new Warner Bros. Animated movie “Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!” Some fans couldn’t be happier after James Gunn‘s attempt 20 years ago was shot down.
Clips from the upcoming movie, which hit digital on Tuesday, show Velma, voiced by Kate Micucci, swooning over costume designer Coco Diablo (Myrna Velasco of “DC Super Hero Girls”) — her glasses steam up — and getting an enormous, goofy grin when Coco touches her shoulder.
A Twitter user named Trin tweeted, in all caps: “Omg Lesbian Velma Finally Canon Canon In The Movies Lets Goooooo.”

Since the recent release of Teen Titans Go! and DC Super Hero Girls, fans have been yearning for the Teen Titans that aired long before Teen Titans Go did. After all, the subject matter tended to be more serious, the characters more developed, and the action far grander.
Yet, it was the humor that caught the attention of most fans. Fans on Ranker have slowly been voting to determine which insults the heroes slung at each other were the best, especially given how often shots were fired. While not every insult hit its mark, they were certainly great.
Note: Ranker lists are live and continue to accrue votes, so some rankings may have changed after this publishing.

A new episode of the Marvel Studios animated series “Marvel’s What If…?” has hit Disney+, and with it come questions as to who’s voicing which characters. The show marks Marvel Studios’ first-ever animated series and finds Jeffrey Wright’s The Watcher character narrating various scenarios in the multiverse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that play out in ways that are different than we’ve seen before. The show’s first episode considered what would happen if Peggy Carter was injected with super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers, offering an alternate take on the events of Marvel’s 2011 film “Captain America: The First Avenger.”
But as was revealed in that episode, not every MCU actor has returned for “What If?” to voice their animated counterpart. Hayley Atwell, Samuel L. Jackson and the late Chadwick Boseman all appeared in previous episodes of the Disney+ original series, whereas Chris Evans,...

The Flintstones could be returning to the small screen!
Fox Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation, and Elizabeth Banks have joined forces to develop Bedrock, a primetime animated adult comedy series continuing the story of everyone’s favorite modern Stone Age family, the Flintstones.
The pilot script will be penned by Lindsay Kerns, with Banks voicing the character of Pebbles Flintstone, in addition to her role as a producer.
The sequel series catches up with the Flintstone family two decades after the original, with Fred on the brink of retirement and 20-something Pebbles embarking on her own career.
As the Stone Age gives way to a shiny and enlightened new Bronze Age, the residents of Bedrock will find this evolution harder than a swing from Bamm-Bamm’s club.

It’s been quite a while since Nintendo has hosted a substantial Direct presentation that focuses on trailers and news for the biggest upcoming Switch games. In fact, this February 17th showcase was the Nintendo Direct of its kind since September 2019.
Of course, the long gap between such presentations is understandable given that the Covid-19 pandemic delayed production schedules across the industry and impacted everyone’s ability to share substantial updates about their upcoming releases. As a result, 2020 Nintendo Direct presentations were highlighted by a celebration of Super Mario‘s 35th anniversary, indie showcases, and various Super Smash Bros. updates. At least Switch owners had Animal Crossing to keep them occupied.
Even still, the long wait for another Nintendo Direct presentation has sent the always wild speculation that comes with these showcases into overdrive. Before the show started, fans were already resurrecting franchises such as Star Fox and F-Zero in...

Although most of the fanfare has surrounded the Snyder Cut of Justice League following its transition from the subject of a long-running fan campaign to one of the most hotly-anticipated comic book movies in recent memory, Warner Bros.’ DC-related content was always designed to be one of the major selling points of HBO Max.
While the complicated rights issues mean that it could be a while before the streaming service manages to gather them all under the one roof, there are still a huge amount of comic book properties available for subscribers, with more to come in the future thanks to the huge investment being made in the likes of J.J. Abrams’ Justice League Dark and the James Wan-produced Aquaman animated miniseries.
A lot of the DC back catalogue might be leaving the newly-launched platform already, including Tim Burton’s Batman movies, but as is the case with...

If there’s one thing DC loves, it’s reboots. The comics cycle through their continuity in one form or another every decade or so, the movies…well…that’s a whole thing, too. So of course now it’s time for the DC animated movies to get a fresh start. And this time, they’re doing it with the hero who should pretty much always be the center of these things: Superman.
Since 2014, there have been 20 DC Universe Animated Original Movies, most of which existed in a shared continuity that began with Justice League: War and culminated in this year’s Justice League Dark: Apokalips War. With that story arc now complete, Superman: Man of Tomorrow will set up a new continuity for future movies. Butch Lukic is the new Supervising Producer for these DC movies, with Chris Palmer directing Man of Tomorrow.

With San Diego Comic-Con going virtual, and other TV events being canceled outright, Warner Bros. has announced an event of its own.
DC FanDome will bring together the most popular comic book properties for an experience that will give fans intel on their most beloved superheroes, and so much more.
As expected, the event will be virtual, and will play out on August 22.
There's no telling whether this means that all of the Warner Bros. properties which are usually mainstays at San Diego Comic-Con will be exclusive to this new event this year, but it seems likely.
What's more, this virtual event is being billed as a global experience, meaning that DC FanDome will be available in at least 10 different languages — Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish — and will feature content for specific countries, too.

The comics world is still disappointed at the necessary cancellation of an entire year of conventions due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak in the United States. While more than half the fun of the comic con experience was being part of the joyful, sweaty mass of people wandering the floor and feeding off of each other’s excitement, a good chunk of that feeling was the hype of new movies, panels with beloved creators, and the flood of breaking news hurtling out of them. DC Entertainment is trying to capture some of that magic on August 22 with DC FanDome.

With a huge chunk of the world currently under stay-at-home orders from their local or national governments, a number of parents are slowly going insane from all the constant screaming over “Into the Unknown” playing on loop. I’m fine, by the way, thank you for asking.
Thankfully, DC Comics has offered help. DC Kids Camp is a new program from the comics publisher offering kid-friendly superhero activities and previews of DC’s middle grade graphic novels.
The program will also feature videos, draw alongs, and crafting tutorials with some of the supremely talented comics creators working on those middle grade books. As Hollywood production has ground to a halt over the escalating Covid-19 pandemic, there is one area that been able to keep the lights on for the most part — animation.
As new episodes of The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and more just this past weekend made it to air, many animated series are still in production, with their creative teams working in sync from home. And voiceover jobs are among the very few opportunities for actors right now, as many in that field have recording facilities in their own homes.

Animated series “100% Wolf – Legend of the Moonstone” from Germany’s Studio100 Media topped the poll of most-watched shows at MipJunior, the children’s content market in Cannes, which wrapped Sunday.
The series follows the adventures of Freddy Lupin, a young werewolf who has been accidentally turned into a poodle, but is determined to prove he’s a match for the others in the werewolf academy. The show was ordered by ABC in Australia and Super Rtl in Germany.
The top 20 shows were all animated series, and this reflects data on viewing trends. Animation is still the most popular genre among those under the age of 15. The genre accounts for an average of 78% of the 20 best-performing children’s shows in the five countries studied by research group Glance. This is higher than it has been over the past five years.

Lauren Faust, the executive producer of Warner Bros. Animation’s rebooted “DC Super Hero Girls,” is on a mission: to right the wrongs committed by past series for girls.
“Too many shows for girls are less about inspiring them, less about entertaining them, less about reflecting their experiences back to them, and too often almost come across as lectures on how we expect girls to behave,” she told an industry audience at Cannes’ trade show MipJunior Saturday, as she discussed her animated show, which airs on Cartoon Network.
“That’s why [the female characters] end up being very soft, and very nice, and everybody’s very concerned about everybody else’s feelings all the time, and that is important to a degree, but is it really exciting to watch?”
That line of thought informs the overall tone for the show, which “sets us apart,” she said. “Make sure that it’s funny, make...
