After viewing three times the first season and two times the second, I decided to write something about Sex Education, and the right place should be here, in the controversial last episode so far... By the way, it's my first comment on IMDB, and this should say a lot how much I care about this show. With no doubt I give the entire first season a 10 stars. I discovered this show only the last November and the first 8 episodes hit me like a truck... I'm definitely not a teenager any more but I was entangled by the incredible result of the writing, acting, directing, photography and music choices of this series. But above all, I have to admit, I was struck by the beautiful chemistry between the Otis and Maeve characters. Scenes like the walking home from the abortion clinic, or the one in the swimming pool, or the "jumper moment" on the bridge, or simply the "steal something" situation in the shop, will be always in my mind (and heart)... So even the unexpected first season finale had little impact on my whole emotion about the show, knowing that more had to come... And all that, of course, had a big influence on my expectations about season two. All considered I found again the same brilliant, funny and touching mood along the new episodes. What I expected most, however, was a bit missing... and I'm talking about the relationship between Otis and Maeve. I can sound a bit silly and naïve, but I would have enjoyed more moments between the two, not necessarily romantic, because each time these two actors interact it's a pleasure to watch. So that's why I can't give more than 8 stars to the second season. And absurdly enough, even another frustrating ending is not the reason of complain, again giving hope to see more of this show. But let me make here an appeal to the creator of this revolutionary series... Please Laurie Nunn, if you are already writing the new episodes, make sure to dedicate more moments to Otis and Maeve, developing their story with all the twists that you fancy, but let us enjoy again this magic couple. Besides, you are the only one who can really engineer a relationship...
