You're hooked from the first episode. The lead actor and actress are gorgeous, the videography is excellent, the setting of Mardin Turkey is stunning, and the set decor and coloring are breathtaking. The story is about a young man who sets out for revenge and falls in love with the target of his revenge. Sounds like an old story, but it has an interesting twist. The young man is under the influence of his manipulative grandmother who has woven a web of deceit and lies. There is action, there are secrets, there's romance and excellent, excellent acting. I can't recommend it enough.
I have never seen this much of crying in a tv series before, in every scene of this series at least someone is crying, I don't understand why this has to be this much dramatic!!!!
I have seen so many stories, so many films, but I have never ever seen something like this story and sacrifice in Hercai! After you see just a part from the first episode, you will be addicted on to story. The way the actors fo their job, the way Akin and Ebru bring to the screen this amazing love, with do extreme effort and sacrifices, you will never see anything like that!!! PURE TREASURE!!!
Its the fist "telenovel" that i wasnt pushin fast forward in the scenes i didnt care much, actually you have to see all as you can miss something as its all connected (ok in the last episodes too much bla bla love bla bla between miran and reyyan-i guess couse is a love story so has to be as it is).
From my point of view is the best i have seen untill now, the acting is not that bad and the filming is not bad either, and the trama very catchy. Its true, as some say its a lot if screaming, crying(ok a little bit too much),revenge, greediness and bla bla but thats why is a drama (telenovela with a different cultural background).
Overall i loved it!
This show will never make you feel bored the characters the scenario the acting it's just too good. This show is also a mixture of so many emotions love hatred betrayal revenge and the way everything changes towards the end of season 2 is beautiful. The chemistry of Reymir is magical. Reyyan's beauty has captivated me since the first episode. Then little Gul will never bore you. One thing about Türkish shows is that they are so absorbing like i really get really into it whenever i watch it.

- TriviaWhat does "Hercai" mean in Turkish? Folklore suggests that once upon a time, two wildflowers fell in love. One of them loved the other so much that when they bloomed in the spring, she was jealous of the other flowers around them. The flower, not able to withstand this jealousy, dreams of being with her beloved alone by blooming in the freezing cold of winter instead of spring. "Let's not bloom this spring like other flowers. Let's bloom in the middle of winter on snowy days so that all nature belongs to us and we live together, only you and me" The other flower agrees to the plan of blooming in the freezing cold when no one else dared to bloom. One of the lovers waited for the winter and the snow; the other couldn't resist and bloomed that summer. The flower that waited with longing bloomed in winter and looked for the other lover. The one that bloomed waited and waited to prove the greatness of love but the other flower did not bloom. After a while the flower lost hope in the freezing cold, bowed and died. Since that day, the flower that kept to the promise has been called "Kardelen" (Snowdriller), and the flower that was not faithful to love and abandoned the other lover halfway through their journey has been called "Hercai" (source: fb page Turkish Learning KivancED).
