  • It is entertaining but the plot has some holes, the writting and acting could be a bit better too. But for a softer teen drama it is quite nice and I would actually like to see a season 2
  • When will people stop commissioning high school dramas with twenty-somethings as the lead characters? It adds a dimension of ridiculous to the whole thing that's difficult to see past. The story arcs are okay, the writing is a cliché, some of the acting is wooden, balanced out by some good stuff. Cinematography and production is excellent and carries the whole thing. It is blaring my obvious what is going to happen mid-series. It's alright, I finished it, but it's not better than six stars where it has the potential to have been a LOT better.

Major biggest gripe really is with the casting and setting unattainable standards for actual teenagers watching. Zero effort has even been made to make them not look 20-something, when we are dealing with what must be meant to be 16/17 year olds at the eldest.
  • I finished in 3 days and I don't regret ..the plot seem every typical and anybody can guessed ..the thing is cast did a good job and that what kept me going.. watch on your free time .. specially this year where to get so many good show options ..so it up to you ..
  • This is a teen based series with teenage scenarios! The creepy adults that sat behind a keyboard critiquing this series like it was being nominated for an Oscar or presented at a film festival needs a mental evaluation. I would've liked to see more "Get Even" scenarios!
  • So I'm not finished with this programme yet but I'm finding it really good so far. Not sure what age group this is aimed for but I'm really enjoying it and I'm 22. The characters are quite interesting and the plot isn't predictable. Looking forward to seeing how this ends.
  • Genre: Teen drama/mystery

Its very difficult to do teen-orientated shows well. Inexperienced actors/actresses often either seem wooden or they don't have the experience to get into the depth of the character. Plots often are adapted to suite the needs of the inexperienced cast, which deteriorates from the narrative. This is why Get Even is very good, is because despite it being a teen show, it has none of the above failings.

Not only is it written in a very believable manner, the casting is magnificent. The character interactions are very true to form and seem natural, although sometimes a little cliche. The pace is perfect and keeps you watching.

For this genre, UK television is miles ahead of anything out of the US. This is a teen drama done right, and lots of networks can learn from this.

    Meh..
At first the show seemed ok.Great premises, good music, nice actors. The more I got into it, the more I started disliking it.Acting is terrible, actors don't look convincing at all. Plot is weak and consists of situations that don't contribute to plot development. There is no character development too. I stopped watching because I couldn't take it longer. Don't recommend.
  • Get Even is amazing! It's a show that has a slow start, then picks up. I really enjoy a great teen mystery show, even if I did guess the bad guy. Although, the bad guy was hidden well throughout. I thought the chemistry between everyone flowed, whether that be romance or friendships. Also, the concept is intriguing, The acting may not be great, but it's good enough. I do believe this show deserves a second season to become better.

    This needs a season 2!
  • Warning: Spoilers
The show is conceptually cool and promising, the music is nice. But there are so many plot holes that it becomes frustrating to watch, makes me feel like i'm watching . For example, the show started off telling the audiences DGM is an association that punishes bad people, and that the whole school can't track them or figure out their identities because they're pro. Then why the hell would Bree make paper crane in the middle of her mission?? aren't they supposed to be flawlessly anonymous and mysterious? i also can't see any reason why the girls gathered together, their conversations are very indifferent, the whole plot is weak. Acting is generally alright but I agree with some other comments that the casting doesn't look convincing.
  • There were a few reviews saying that the show is a knock off pretty little liars but I don't even get that vibe number one the cast is much more diverse than pretty little liars number two it's a show with highschoolers but it is not sexualize them in any way it's great for kids to watch if they want to get into the thriller crime genre there are a few potholes and the acting is OK for a teen show I love it I streamed for a whole entire night I definitely recommend

This show started off very promising, then it went downhill so fast. This was made for teenagers with low IQ
  • It's kind of like how to get away with murder meets Riverdale or Sabrina (without the magic). If you like those kind of shows you'll probably like this. Better than I expected.
  • If you like teen Dramas with wit, clever dialogue, sharp humour and deep characters.... Go somewhere else. This teen drama is shallow as a dehydrated lake. It jumps right in, with no introduction as to why the "oh so secret" society was formed, how the girls met and what their bigger purpose is. And into episode 3 you don't even care anymore. Someone got murdered? Ah yeah, true. Who cares, whatever. And that's the vibe the whole show gives off. Don't waste your time with this, there are way better very similar vshows out there worth to watch!
  • This series is quite really the definition 'girl power' with its storyline starring for teen girls as the main protagonists. As far as series 1, its seems to stray from typical stereotypes and provide an entertaining plot for all ages. As a teenager myself, I would definitely reccomend it to those amongst my generation, and to those who are just looking for a good old murder mystery.
  • A very boring series.

Even with 25 minutes of episode duration the series felt very streched. Could have easily been of 6 to 7 episodes.

Although the first 15 mins were interesting.

I dislike abandoning shows in the middle because this series pushed me every time to quit this one.
  • Acting is bad Story is bad Character development is bad Set is ok Music is ok

    It's summary it's bad
  • Warning: Spoilers
I watched the first episode and wasn't drawing in but watched the second episode anyway, the thing is I have now seen the full first series and can't wait for a second, I'm not going to put spoilers in here but I will say it's a little slow to start of with but then it gets your guessing and the end result was good. I would say it's a good family thriller with shock horror no swearing in (which makes a change) although I would say it's a p.g as the plot is a thriller
  • I quite like the series and want to see more of it. Also I know it is fiction. But it made me questioning myself if it is allowed in the UK to interview students without an adult the way the series approaches. There are some small continuation errors easy to avoid. ;) Apart this, as I said, I quite like it.
  • After the first episode I thought this isn't for me, but since the episodes are short I watched the second and I am so glad I did. This isn't your typical surface level poorly acted teen drama. There are layers to each character and the acting is great. I went from turning off the show to binging the whole thing in one day!

Bad bad bad... such a bad acting, the story is stupid, everything is too perfect and easy for them, is not realistic at all.
  • This is a good show, but it is not for kids as it is on Netflix Kids.
  • Poor acting, bad photography, horrible direction.

This is BAD. Too bad too 'cause the premise is so fun.

Maybe somebody else (with talent) will pick up the concept and do it right.

    One can hope.

    Great!
I loved it! So entertaining, Shane was so funny, I like how they gave every character some background
  • My one star is only for the music.. and I could only watch 2 episodes.. well I really couldn't even finish the second one. So, so bad..
  • Get Even is an interesting series that steers clear from the traditional 'teenagers that form a secret society at school' genre. Get even's 4 main characters each have their own personalities, pressures, likes and dislikes, goals, foibles and skeletons in the cupboard (or not). Set around an elite school where academic success though advised is not really pursued by the teachers except in the case of BREE who is a an EMO fuelled dysfunctional girl who hates PE. (Is PE an academic discipline?) She dislikes her semi absent father as use the situation to challenge both him and the school as to the pupose of PE. A well honed, disciplined body she may never possess, but her extracurricular activities display that at she has brain that can do cartwheels. She is 1/4 of the setting the world to rights group DGM (Don't Get Mad). The other three girls (yes DGM is all female) also have interesting pesonalities which is why I recommend you watch the series. The series deals with the usual issues that teenagers face at school, racism, isolation, elistism, sexism, sexting, exclusionism and even taboo teacher-pupil relationships. Get Even sees the girls problem solve personal issues, support each other and also support others they see as victimised or downtrodden. Go watch!
