- Our story opens with a myth that every year seven people end up in the sea, because the sea is the beginning and the end of everything, it is the source of life and of survival, therefore a human sacrifice must be presented to it, willingly or unwillingly. The story is set in a place connecting present times and the past, the characters present and those disappeared, the living and the dead. Myths and legends determine the lives of the characters of the series "Debt to the Sea" in a specific way, and their interconnected complex destinies are told in a mystic atmosphere. - Se01 Our tale commences with an ancient legend, one that speaks of seven souls drawn into the depths of the sea each year. For the sea, the wellspring of life and survival, demands a human offering. On the Lushtica Peninsula, where the present collides with the past and the departed coexist with the living, myths and legends exert a profound influence over our characters' lives. Within a mystical Mediterranean backdrop, we explore their intricate destinies. Is the legend of human sacrifices genuine? Are all these events truly the fault of stones adorned with Slavic symbols, or do the reasons lie concealed among people and their secrets?
Se02 While her parents grapple with the guilt and consequences of a previous tragedy, Olga embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind the 'Debt to the Sea' curse, which she is determined to break. She finds herself torn between two worlds: Lushtica and Belgrade, science and legends, her love for Rnjo, and her passion for the Professor. On her journey of self-discovery, Olga, along with other characters in our story, unravels the deep secret hidden within Fortica, a secret that has piqued the interest of many. Svetlana comes to understand that every aspect of their lives is intertwined. The locals ponder: what lies ahead after the sea has taken its seventh victim?
Se03 Mystical forces grow stronger, leading Olga to uncover family secrets hidden within the Lushtica Peninsula. While her father, Perisa, seeks to unveil what lies beneath Fortica, Olga is investigated by journalist Oscar, who follows a trail related to Professor Grosman's death. These newfound revelations disrupt her relationship with Rnjo. After a tragic storm hits Lushtica, Olga receives a necklace from her mother, Svetlana, drawing her closer to uncovering the mysteries surrounding the peninsula and its eccentric residents. The beginning of this truth-seeking journey leads us to the disappearance of the main protagonist, Olga...
Se04 The disappearance of Olga leads us into a labyrinth of mysterious events that deeply affect all involved. It becomes clear that the search for her is not just physical but also a spiritual journey across time, space, and diverse realms. On the mystical Lushtica Peninsula, Olga confronts secrets she must unveil before her ominous visions become reality. While Olga explores the World of the Dead and uncovers an uncharted aspect of her own identity, her mother, Svetlana, delves into her origins. Simultaneously, Perisa, on a quest for the treasures of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, encounters the 'otherworldly.' The fates of our characters intertwine, revealing not only their pasts but also the profound traumas and losses they bear. Each character contributes to Olga's mission to break the curse while embarking on a search for something perhaps even more elusive: themselves.
