2nd best in 2019 for me. I watched this movie without much expectation thinking this as an off beat movie. But "Manoharam" surprised me with its freshness and presentation. The movie is brilliant and very funny too. There is little suspense and thrill too which makes it a perfect choice for me. Coming to the -ves, there is deliberate intention to induce novelty in camera work by making shaking camera shots which I found quite unnecessary at many occasions. Also, there is lot of 'noise pollution' through out the movie capturing all sort of sounds in the surroundings. Ignoring these flaws, "Manoharam" is a nicely crafted 'kidukkachi' movie for all sorts of people. Must watch movie in all sense.
  • So why this movie deserves this rating.

This film is a feel good movie. Perfectly trimmed out to make it short and sweet avoiding unnecessary songs and repetitiveness. As I said, this is feel good movie, you don't have to expect anything from this movie but this will calm you nerves. Technically, this may have some issue like camera, sound. But that won't stop you from grasping the quality of content the movie provides.

I appreciate each and everyone who worked on this film. Usage of local language and slang deserves special applauds.

This will be a MUST-WATCH movie, enjoyable by all regardless of age.
  • I watch this mainly because of Vineeth Sreenivasan. Because I hadn't watch a movie of him for a while. I had a slight idea about what the story is by IMDB description. And because I love art and painting, I knew that I would be able to connect with this easily.

And so it happened. It's not a great movie but a simple isolated one. But ultimately it made me happy and gave me some genuine laughs throughout.

I have seen Basil Joseph in other movies but I think this is the one that I recognised him as a good comedy actor. Here he delivers perfectly.

But I didn't entire like the camera danced mostly in the first half. It was irritating. Maybe they were trying something new or having a technical difficulty but anyway I didn't like it and I really hoped that it would stop soon.

I like to say that this is one of the good films I watched in 2020.
  • More than anything it is the fast-paced editing bu Nidhin Raj Arol that I would live to point at in Manoharam (Beautiful) that exponentially improves the viewing experience of this social drama about artistic professionalism and ends up as a sweet, feel-good movie that is bound to bring a smile to your face provided you ignore the contrived movement of the plot and the almost technical intervention provided by a flex printer's repair that some characters busy themselves here. TN.

Such a simple story told excellently, loved watching it
  • The film revolves across the story of a poster artist named Manoharan, who struggling to search out respect for his career after the appearance of printing know-how. He tries exhausting to get into the mainstream, by choosing up design software program abilities. How he does it varieties the crux of the story. It has executed it effectively on display and a few comedy and songs hold you engaged all through the movie, say the viewers.Vineeth Sreenivasan has delivered an excellent efficiency in Manoharam and he steals the present along with his comedy timing. Delhi Ganesh, Basil Joseph, Deepak Parambol, Hareesh Peradi, Jude Anthany Joseph and Indrans have carried out good jobs and they're additionally among the many belongings of the film, says the viewers.

    # Nice direction # Amazing video editing #Story is going like upcoming Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargode Semi High Speed Trains. # Overall Very interesting to watch.
  • A mediocre attempt at recreating the sort of film that Sreenivasan used to write and act in, back in the 90s. The worst Sreenivasan film would be better than this dull, unfunny and uninspired piece of crap.

The first half is filled with repetitive scenes that underscore the main character's innocence and meiocrity. But none of them are really funny or cleverly written. There are no real jokes. No interesting characters. No interesting scenes. Aparna Das looked nice though.

Sreenivasan himself once said that he would read the scripts of other writers and tell them "Ningalude thamaashakal vaayichaal chiri varilla" (your jokes do not make me laugh). Thamaasha is one such script. There is nothing funny or touching about this film. The final drama involving the Facebook post and its resolution was also quite uninspired. In fact, my review is also uninspired. So do not waste your time. Watch Paavam Paavam Rajakumaran instead of this crap.
  • Snappy screenplay.Loved this slice of life. Excellent film. Kudos to the makers, everything comes along beautifully and the payout is even better.
  • Loved watching it. Worth your time. This movie dwells into some uncommon territories that was never portrayed in Malayalam movies, like the flex culture in Kerala. Reminds some of the old Mohanlal-Srinivasan combination movies, but still maintain its own freshness.
