This is a modern reimagining is Cinderella, with more than a touch of diversity and politically correctness. I think the modern update is a bit too much, and they try too hard to make it relevant to the modern day. The end result is a film that doesn't appeal to anyone.
The visuals are pretty impressive. Even though the colour palette is monotonous, the visuals are beautiful and captivating. The story is ending, albeit slow at times. I really like Timothee Chamalet's character. Overall, I liked it.
This is such a touching story, that it made my very many times. The dialogues are very strong. There are many occasions where a sentence can evoke many lasting emotions. Production is great as well. It really makes viewers feel a roller coaster of feelings throughout the film. I really enjoyed watching this film.
This film depicts human interaction between two unlikely people. Instead of treating him badly or having any presuppositions regarding the interviewee, the agent manages to be a person who is really there to listen. It is a refreshing change of perspective.
I was thoroughly impressed by this film. The story is beautifully developed, and convincingly told. The messages are very effective. It makes you feel them with your heart, without the need to use clichés and dramatic scenes. Less is more in this film, and it is truly special.
