Mickey's PhilharMagic
(2003)

Better than Captain EO
This is the best 3-D experience Disney has at their themeparks. This is certainly better than their original 1960's acid-trip film that was in it's place, is leagues better than "Honey I Shrunk The Audience" (and far more fun), barely squeaks by the MuppetVision 3-D movie at Disney-MGM and can even beat the original 3-D "Movie Experience" Captain EO. This film relives some of Disney's greatest musical hits from Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and others, and brought a smile to my face throughout the entire show. This is a totally kid-friendly movie too, unlike "Honey..." and has more effects than the spectacular "MuppetVision"

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
(1992)

Good and fun, but she's no Sarah Michelle Gellar
I found this movie to be a lot of fun. I saw it in the theater back in 1992, and had a great time. While Kristie Swanson is no Sarah Michelle Gellar in terms of character depth, she still pulls out a good performance. This movie good for entertaining popcorn fodder, but is by no means one of the classics of our day.

Hilary Swank is fun to see in a pre-"Boys Don't Cry" role, and it's also great to catch stars like David Arquette and Ben Affleck (don't blink, you'll miss him) before they struck it big.

8/10, but don't expect it to be absolute genius.

Event Horizon
(1997)

They can keep the money, I just want my time back
How in blue hell did this movie get released? There seems to be no point to it except for scenes of intense gore, violence, and torture. Like everyone else says: it started with some promise, but shot after shot after shot of nothing but torture, dismemberment, maggots, and sharp spikey things made this movie unwatchable. I like a good horror film as much as the next person. But this has a LONG way to go before it's a bad horror film.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch
(1990)

The greatest film...... EVER - CONTAINS SPOILERS
How can you not like this film?

You have cute and cuddly fuzzy things, cut but not so cuddly green slimy things, a Grandpa Munster wannabe who becomes the Wolf Blitzer of his time, and the greatest minute and a half ever recorded in cinema.

Personally I have the feeling that the director and producer of this flick were halfway through finishing, realized "this is SOOOO horrible" and set out to make it that much worse, making it even better.

And Tony Randall as the Gremlin who wants to be civilised? Fantastic! Give me the Geneva Convention as culture any day of the week.

And who will forget the climatic ending, with the aforementioned greatest 90 seconds on celluloid as the Gremlins, poised to unleash their antics on New York City come nightfall, sing "New York, New York" in the lobby before being utterly destroyed? A modern-day classic.
