I am a "child of the 80s" and there is no way this can be considered funny to everyone of that generation. This film was so painful I thought I might have to gouge out my own eyes. No discernible plot. No decent dialog. Definitely not funny. I laughed only at the point where I thought I was going to lose my mind from boredom. The actors were good at portraying very strange individuals, though. The lead actor (Napoleon) and his buddy Pedro were excellent at portraying a couple of spaced-out geeks in high school. It was also nice to see Tina Majorina all grown up from her frequent roles in the early 90s. So, unless you're extremely bored and have a few bucks to blow on one and a half hours of your life you will never get back, I would urge you not to waste your time on this movie. Save your money and do something more entertaining like watch paint dry.

Amanda Burton's Professor Sam Ryan is a clever, highly-intelligent and sometimes intimidating coroner and professor at London University. Her professional qualifications set her apart from other coroners in the area, and so she is regularly called upon to assist the police at homocide crime scenes and in subsequent autopsies. In the style of a murder-cop show starring someone besides a cop, Professor Ryan manages to solve all of the cases herself, only occasionally calling on the aid of one of the actual police officers. This series is very often intense and graphic during some of the autopsy scenes, but it is consistently well-written and well-acted. Very little of Sam Ryan's private life leaks into the series, and the series' primary focus on the murder in question is somewhat unusual to this genre. When a glimpse of Professor Ryan's personal life is revealed to the audience, it leaves them curious for more. Silent Witness is a very well-written show and I highly recommend it when it next appears in reruns!

Mulberry is a funny, witty Britcom that stars Karl Howman as the mild-mannered but always imposing Mulberry, servant to the cranky, elderly Miss Farnaby (Geraldine McEwan). Bert and Alice, two other servants of Miss Farnaby's, are much needed additions to the cast, as their incredulous reactions to Mulberry's actions make for some of the funniest parts of this series. Howman's character is charming and clever, always scheming, and highly intelligent (what more could you ask from the "son of death"?), and it is truly his acting abilities that pull this Britcom together. Some of the episodes are less funny than others, but the majority are the reason I keep tuning in Saturday after Saturday for rerun after rerun. Of course, the reason Mulberry is there is to eventually "kill" Miss Farnaby, so the series did not last indefinitely. Overall, this is one of the top Britcoms I've seen.
