  • I really don't like or dislike this movie. To me it was just average. I just saw it a few days ago for the first time. Originally I didn't plan to see it at all, but with everyone constantly taking about how great it was, it was hard to resist taking a peek at it. After viewing it, I failed to understand what everyone was raving about. To me it was like a less funny and more perverted version of Ace Ventura. I got a few giggles out of it, but it was to cartoonish to really get into, and I have no desire to watch it again. I plan to see the sequel, but only out of pure curiosity. In conclusion I'd like to say: if you haven't seen it yet and you are under 14 knock yourself out!(see it)

  • Warning: Spoilers
( Warning! spoiler!)This movie was fantastic, and brilliant, with superb acting. The story was tuching and realistic, up until the ending. I found a big problem with the ending. My problem was that the ending was completely different from the rest of the movie, not to mention impossible. The problem I found wasn't with the fact that Boby (played be Joseph Mazzello) simply flies away in a machine his brother and him built ALONE (not to mention that they were somewhere around 6 or 9 years old). But the thing I didn't like is the fact that Boby simply vanishes, yet stays alive. Boby was 6 or 7 years old and there is no way he could survive alone to adulthood the way he did. It just can't happen! Why? you ask. Well, because at age 6 or 7 you are too imature to survive alone, and especially the way Boby survived. In real life, even if the flying machine worked, someone would of stolen it, or it would have crashed. It looked about as sturdy as an umbrella!

  • (Wow Jan 1, 2000)This movie was fun. I wasn't really a fan of Adam Sandler before this movie. This movie let me know that he can actually act like a real person with real emotions sometimes. Besides being funny, this movie has some sad parts that almost cause you to cry. I still can't decide whether to call the ending 'happy' or inbetween happy and sad. It wasn't really the ending I expected. Anyway, overall it is a fantastic movie and I see no good reason not to like it. I thing everyone who hasn't seen it should see it soon.

My rating: 9 (out of 10)
  • I liked this movie mostly because it was different. I rarely get to see movies like this, and I think this movie was great. The acting varied from person to person, some of the acting sucked, and some was perfect. The plot and story were far from weak, and even though this movie isn't thrilling, in creates this weird ancious experiance that makes you ancious to see what happens next. You just want to keep watching. I expected in to be scarier though. Maybe it wasn't scary because the media has done such a good job of telling everyone how movies are made. Everyone knows about CGI, so you don't even have to wonder how it was done. If you can't figure it out, then its probably CGI! I remember when Jurassic Park came out (even though I was only 9) I didn't know how they made the cool dinosaurs, and most people didn't! This adds to the adventure and excitement of the movie. It makes it more real and yes even more scary. You know how people think, if it looks real and acts real, then it probably is real. Anyway, this movie gave no real disappointment and I enjoyed it. If you didn't like it, thats your problem.

  • Even though half the movie was spent looking up Joseph Mazzello's nose (or his face) I still had a little bit of fun. The story wasn't really anything you haven't seen before, its kind of like a low bugget, low scale version of Independence Day, Mac and Me, and E.T put together. See it if you want, but don't expected much, unless you are around 6 to 13.

  • The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a very enjoyable film and almost lives up to the first one. When I saw it in 1997 for the first time, I was shaking like crazy. The scenes that scared me the most where:

    1. the first scene with the T-rexes when Sara opens the door of the trailer and the T-rex is staring right at her.

    2. when to T-rex sticks it's head in the tent.(I was terrified!)

    3. when Sara is on the cracking class.

    4. when the Raptor jumps on sara's back.(that was completely unexpected).

I love both JP movies and I own them also. The main reasons why a lot of people disliked this movie is either they were expecting too much, or they just don't look for the right things in a movie. When I look at a JP movie, I look for suspense, action, surprises, good acting, and realism. The Lost World provided all of that. Therefore I liked it. When I saw The Lost World in the theater, I walked away from that movie convinced that I had seen a real Dinosaur. THAT, my friends, is what makes JP movies so wonderful. Jurassic Park and it's sequal are the only movies in the world that can do that (when it comes to dinosaurs). Godzilla('98), lacks all of that except action which is not enough to make a good movie. Godzilla and his babies had no personalities, because of this, it was very hard to believe Godzilla was real. Jurassic Park movies give all of there Dinosaurs personalities. When you watch a JP movie, you know the difference between the way a Raptor acts and the way a T-rex acts. If it wasn't for that, the Dinosaurs would be faker than ever, regardless of the really good CGI. The Dinosaurs do more than just run around eating people, each Dinosaur does it their own way. I encourage everyone to give this over bashed sequel a different look. You might be surprised!

My rating: 9 out of 10. One point lost for story.
  • Warning: Spoilers
(Warning, possible spoiler). I don't really see the point of this movie. This movie is so bland. It really has a mix of everything. A little bit of comedy, a little bit of saddness, a little bit of suspense, etc. I am a fan of Martin Lawrence and out of all his movies I've seen this is the worst. Lawrence said in his interview that he made this movie because he wanted to do "something different". Well, this movie is very different from his usual home boy movies. I was relieved when Blue Streak came out and I saw Lawrence go back to his old image. As for Eddie Murphy, I really don't care what he does. Some of his movies are good and some are bad. I don't really have a solid image of Eddie Murphy since he has been in such a wide variety of movies and plays so many different types of people. Over all "Life" is an okay movie. It could be spiced up a little, but its not a waste of time if you're looking for a good story with a little bit of everything.
  • I never would have expected to see Will Smith in a movie like this, or to do such a good acting job. This movie was amazing! I loved it! It was thrilling, suspenseful, and action packed. Another thing that excites me about this movie is that it was filmed 10 miles from where I live! In fact, today I actually drove by on the same road that guy gets hit by the fire truck on. My cousin got to watch them film that part of the movie! I was thinking "wow, I'm driving over the same road they filmed Enemy of the State on". Anyway, Will Smith should have own an oscker for this movie. He did some good acting! Enemy of the State is an A class movie. Well made, with a great story, good actors/actresses, and an Excellent location!

My rating: 11 out of 10!
  • Warning: Spoilers
(WARNING: MAY CONTAIN SPOILER) This is one of thoughs movies where you can't really form an opinion. One thing I can tell you is NOT to expect Jim Carrey to act like Ace Ventura, Fletcher Reede, or The Mask. In this movie he is not the silly, funny, Jim Carrey that we've all gotten used to. In this movie he acts a lot like Matthew Broderick. Notice that this movie is NOT a comedy. I made the mistake of assuming it was a comedy because Jim Carrey was in it. I can't decide whether its "Good" or "Bad". I CAN say, however, what my experience was while I was watching it. This movie started off very slowly and I was getting very board for the first 30 minutes or so. I like movies that get to the point quickly and The Truman Show definitly takes a lot of time to really start off the story. The ending disappointed me a little bit because once Truman leaves the giant studio he is living in, the story ends instantly. I was hoping that I'd get to see Truman step into the outside world for the first time and react to it. But instead, Truman just walks through the door and that ends the story. Also, once he learned the truth about his whole life being a set up, the audience is never clear on his true feelings about this discovery. This movie is kind of like a hilly road when it comes to Interest. It starts off boring, gets interesting, then gets boring... The only reason I decided to see this movie was because I like Jim Carrey and I didn't have to pay to rent this film. Jim Carrey is a very emotional actor who shows his emotions well through his facial expressions. In all this movie is very DIFFERENT and in a way, kind of strange. I hope Jim Carrey's next movie is a comedy, because I think actors and actresses do best when they stick with parts they are GOOD at. Jim Carrey is good at making comedies, so I think he should stick with that. But, something different every once in a while is good too.

My rating: 7 out of 10
  • I have been a fan of Martin Lawrence for years, and almost all of his movies are funny and entertaining. This movie is different from his usual movies. His other movies usually have profanity, sex or violence. This is his first movie that isn't rated R. I loved it! The story was good, there is lots of action, suspense, and comedy. Martin Lawrence was outrageously funny. He is a very naturalistic actor. He can play almost any roll in a movie. I hope he continues to make more movies like this one, because he is very good at it.

My Rating: 11 out of 10! Way, above average movie.
  • Having an adult play a kid is something I'm not used to, but it works! I enjoyed this movie a lot and had no regrets after watching it. "Clifford" is funny and I really can't find anything wrong with it. I'm shore kids will love this movie as well as adults. Whether your 9 or 90 this movie will make you laugh and entertain you. WATCH IT! and see how much fun it is.

My Rating: 9 out of 10
  • The first time I saw this movie was in the cinnima theatre. I found this film to be surprisingly enjoyable and entertaining. It was funny and stupid sometimes. The best quality this film has is its replay value. You can watch it several times and not get bored with it. Also, this movie really makes New York city look a lot friendlier than it really is (We all know New York is a hell hole). This movie is great to watch on a rainy day when you have nothing to do.

My Rating: 9 out of 10 or A-
  • This show is great for a few laughs. Sherman Hemsley is the funniest character on the show. I think this show is fun, but not as much fun as "Martin". If you are "religious" you might enjoy this show even more.

My rating: 8 out of 10
  • This is the funniest, most outrageous, sitcom I have ever seen. Its hilarious! Martin Lawrence plays six parts in this show. When ever he is playing Mother Payne, the Police officer or Jerome, you can expect to laugh until it hearts. Martin and Pam are also what makes this show so funny. Pam is hilarious when she insults Martin and Martin is hilarious when he insults Pam. Martin Lawrence is like a Black Jim Carrey, only funnier. His movies will make you laugh too, but if you want to see Martin lawrence at his best, watch "Martin". You will not believe how funny this show is! I highly recommend this show to everybody.

My Rating: 11 out of 10! (above average show)
  • This was the funniest, and most entertaining Jim Carrey movie I have ever seen. "The Mask" was none stop fun from beginning to end. I love the way Stanley Ipkiss acts once he becomes the mask. This movie is brilliant, end of story.

    My rating: 10
  • I usually don't like War movies, but "Glory" changed my whole view on War. This movie is very realistic and its very easy to get caught up in the movie while you're watching it. Matthew Broderick's performance was surprisingly good. Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman performed well also. And I can't think of any reason not to like this movie. I would recommend this movie to people who like War flicks.

My Rating: 9 out of 10
  • I just saw this movie in the theatre today. Since I didn't see any previews for it on television, I really didn't know what to expect. The title sounds lame, but once you see the movie it is easy to understand why its called "Mickey Blue Eyes".

I think this movie is fairly good. Nothing fancy, just a solid, down to earth, movie. It has a good mix of suspense and comedy. This is a movie you would expect to find on TV. It has a good formula for a made-for-TV movie.

My Rating: 8 out of 10
  • This was a great show! Why did they cancel it! I loved watching it when it was running and now I love watching the re-runs. "Sparks" is much better than "seinfeld" or stupid "Drew Carry". I find "Sparks" very entertaining and fun to watch. Is it me or are all the Black show getting canceled faster than they did in the 70's and 80's?

My rating: 10 out of 10
  • "Good Times" was an excellent African American sitcom. I'm shore that any one from any age-group would enjoy this show. The cast is great, But whats up with "J.J"? I've seen fatter tooth picks! Well any way, this is a great family show and I wish they made more shows like this in the 90's.

My rating: 9 out of 10
  • Obviously this movie has no real story. However, the comedy, romance, and fun, more than make up for it. This is the first movie I've ever seen that didn't have a story. When you look at this movie, it makes you realize that your life is not at 2 hour story, but a combination of different situations. THAT is what this movie is like. And thats what makes this movie different from other movies. You might call this movie unique. I enjoyed watching this movie several times. It made me laugh and it entertained me. What makes the movie so funny isn't the jokes, but the truth. Simply put, this movie tells the truth about Da' Hood, and about people living in Da' Hood. I would give this movie an 8 out of 10.
  • Simply put, "The Lion King" sucks. I am so sick of people praiseing this movie like its the best thing since color TV. After watching several Disney films from the 60's, 80's, and 90's, I STILL fail to see way this movie is like some people's bible. I don't think this film is any where near the best Disney film. It had great art quality and an excellent proformance by James Earl Jones, and Matthew Broderick. Thats it. Everything else about it sucked. The story was so weak, I was bored before I new it. The more the public praises this movie, the more I hate this movie. If you want the best Disney movies, try TARZAN, ALADDIN, or THE LITTLE MERMAID. Any one who thinks this is the best disney movie is basicly an idiot/moron. I think people should watch at LEAST 25 Disney classics before they start picking out "BEST DISNEY MOVIES". I have seen several and Lion King is fare from the best. For example, if Jurassic Park was the only Dinosaur movie you had ever seen, It world be idiotic to say that it is the "BEST DINOSAUR MOVIE" ever. To say such a thing, you would have to see several other Dinosaur movies first.
  • This movie is SO good, I can't believe it. "TARZAN" is truly a brilliant movie. Even as a teenager I was amazed by the quality of this movie. This film doesn't have the childish properties that a lot of the past Disney movies had. Its very easy to get caught up in this movie while you watch it. It is more realistic than I ever expected it to be. Also, it has amazing art quality, great music, a terrific story, and well developed characters.

Some things that surprised me about this movie is that blood was shown several times. Also, there was more violence in this movie than in any other disney movie I've seen. I went through several emotions while watching this film and that was surprising (I didn't cry), because even "TITANIC" didn't have that type of effect on me. Thats why I discribe this movie as "brilliant". I don't think I can find any flaws in this film. Disney did such an exellent job with this movie that I now have a new respect for them. When I went to the theatre, I was expecting something like "JUNGLE BOOK". So, as you can see, this movie went way above my expectations. When "TARZAN" comes out on video, I will not hesitate to buy it. I want to own this masterpiece. Now that Disney has made the best movie ever, I will have higher expectation for them in the future. I give this movie an 11 out of 10. Or an A+. Good work.
  • When I went to the movie theatre, I had a choice between Inspector Gadget, and Tarzan. Unfortunetly, I chose Inspector Gadget. I'm not saying that its a bad movie, but it could have been a lot better. Matthew Broderick fits his part well and his acting improved since Godzilla. In the end I would recommend this movie to people between 7 and 13 years of age. I give this movie a 7 out of 10.
  • This movie was so much fun. I loved it! The idea of someone who could literally speak to animals was enough to make be want to see it. And it was fun to hear the animals talk. One of the things I like most about this movie is that it makes you believe what is going on. When you watch some movies, you don't feel like what you're watching is really happening. But Dr. Dolittle makes you believe that the animals are really talking. Every animal had its own personality, which made the movie all the more realistic. I give this movie a 9/10 out of 10. I really hope they make a sequal because this movie deserves one.
  • Whether its true or not, I think this movie is very original. Wow! super sensess. This is the most original comedy I've seen since "Nothing To Lose". Not only is it funny, but its interesting and smart. Marlon Wayans was perfect for the role as Darryl, and does a great acting job. In fact I had so much faith in Marlon's performance that I bought the movie without renting it first (something I rarely do). My advice to you people who have not seen this film yet is: SEE IT NOW! I give this movie a 9/10.
