Assault on Precinct 13
(1976)

What would you do? Even with a gun in your hand.
This film used an old police station building in Venice Beach California as the main location. It was in real life Los Angeles Police station Division 14. It takes place as the station is being vacated for a newer station, and people are there moving things out. Yes, these are gun and badge packin' folks, but they are

faced by a real danger. A gang who takes no prisoners, they want one thing, to kill the folks inside the station. And, they are determined.

At times I was truly on the edge of my seat, and at other times, I wondered why they didn't take a different plan of action. So, if you get the chance, take a look at this one, and see what YOU would have done.

And Then There Were None
(1945)

Suspense! One good "who done it."
Of course Agatha Christie did her usual fine job with the story. But everyone involved with this classic film

also did their best. How can I single out any of the very fine actors involved with this achievement. They all contributed to keeping me on the edge of my chair, and they did a very good job of it. Just who IS Mr. U.N. Owen? Why did he send letters of invitation to these people to come here? And, what secrets do these people have to hide? But don't worry, about half way through, you will know who did what they did, and why. OR WILL YOU? I loved it, and still put it up there at the top of my list of favorites. Atmosphere, fine acting, fantastic story, most accomplished directing, and much more.

Arsenic and Old Lace
(1944)

Suspense and Laughter
Every time this is on the television I watch it. I do

think that every line and action of this movie is etched into my brain, I have seen it so many times. And, never tire of it! Who is Teddy, and is he really crazy...hehehehe Why is Mr. Spinalzo laying around the house? Most excellent performances by all involved. About the first 20 or 30 times I saw this, I kept wondering who was going to pop out of where. I do enjoy it, and think that I will always enjoy it.

The black and white version is my favorite, but I did enjoy the colour version. My time in front of the screen was well spent on this one.

You Never Can Tell
(1951)

What dirty dog would poison a dog. Rex Shepheard knows.
I enjoyed this movie from start to finish. Everyone in front of, and behind the camera, did their job. Do you like Dick Powell, animals, mystery, romance? Check this one out, it is worth your time. There is a race horse in here that is the cutest, and fastest little filly I have ever seen.

It Happened Tomorrow
(1944)

Fantasy - Love - Danger & Laughs it has it all.
All actors in this movie do their jobs. So do those behind the scenes. Stunts are excellent. Just sit back, and lose yourself in this one, go along with Larry Stevens and experience his pinball-like adventures. You will have some laughs, chills, thrills, and warm moments as well.

One Million B.C.
(1940)

Romance and Danger - Tenderness and Brutality
Dinosaurs chase people, people chase people, lava chases people and dinosaurs. If you like movies of the 1940's this should keep you interested. It is fun, and if you get into it, rather exciting.
