Pitch Black
(2000)

This is the best scary scifi movie since aliens.
I saw this in a theater with stadium seating and digital sound. Wow! This was an excellent, and scary movie. The acting was on par with the best and it is filmed beautifully. The actors and the director(David Twohy of G.I. Jane and The Fugitive) give excellent performances. Vin Diesel is superb as ex-con Riddick. There are even some great one-liners, and this movie will keep you guessing as to what happens next. If you even remotely like being scared or enjoy scifi, you must see this one on the big screen. Pitch Black gets two thumbs up!

The Green Mile
(1999)

Excellent! Tom Hanks leads a wonderful cast in this great movie
What an excellent movie this picture was. When I first saw the trailers in October, I thought it might be pretty good.

The Green Mile exceeded my expectations. Tom Hanks leads a wonderful cast in this movie which stands out by far from most others. If you liked Shawshank Redemption, you'll love this one. I've realized just how good Stephen King can write, now that I've seen this and Shawshank. It's three hours long, and worth every minute of it. It touched me in many ways. I was fortunate enough to see it twice. And I will buy it on dvd as soon as it is available. The Green Mile will certainly become a classic. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

Saving Private Ryan
(1998)

I believe this to be the best war movie ever made. Powerful and incredible!
I have never seen a motion picture that made such an impact on my senses, emotions, and my respect of all the other people who have served during a war. SPR was incredible in its scope of cinematography, sound, technical accuracy, and how each of the actors portrayed their characters. Sure, there will be some viewers who will not like SPR for their own reasons, but I believe most people will be glad they went to see it. It's a fictional story about a few U.S. Army soldiers during the Normandy invasion and the mission they are given. In my opinion, this movie should get an Oscar for best picture and possibly Tom Hanks for best actor. I was impressed with his portrayal of Capt. Miller. He was very believable. I say this because I have served with men like this. But I am thankful I never had to go through what those men went though on the day or at any other time. I would like to thank all those who helped keep this country great in its history. I am proud beyond measure to be an American. And I thank Mr. Speilberg for bringing this story to the motion picture screen.

Legend
(1985)

ALMOST A GOOD MOVIE, IF IT WASN'T FOR SOME BAD EDITING,MUSIC
FIRST, THAT IS NOT TIM CURRY AS DARKNESS. IT IS BRIAN THOMPSON OF COBRA AND MOON 44. I NEVER HAVE HEARD WHY IT IS CREDITED THAT WAY. BUT DARKNESS NONE THE LESS IS VERY GOOD AT BEING BAD. I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS EURO VERSION YET, BUT IT SOUNDS MUCH BETTER. THE CINEMATOGRPHY WAS EXCELLENT, I THOUGHT MIA TO BE GOOD IN LILY'S PART, BUT NOT SO ABOUT TOM. AS ENTERTAINMENT ON A RAINY AFTERNOON, IT'S STILL AN ENJOYABLE FLICK, UNCUT. I STILL GIVE A 7.
