Frankenstein
(1994)

Nothing like the book
Although it bears only a passing similarity to the original novel, it's still an interesting film and worth a look if you enjoy such adaptations. Watch this only as entertainment. If you're trying to avoid reading the book for english class then don't bother, as there are such drastic differences between the book and the film that they could almost be considered two different stories.

Terminal Velocity
(1994)

Why don't people like this film?
When this film came out, it has to be said, it bombed. Seriously, and tragically. I put it down to the pseudo intellectualism surrounding modern films. The Idea that a film doesn't actually have to have a deeper meaning, or specific point seems to go over the heads of some people. Films were made for enjoyment and to allow people to escape their ordinary hum drum lives. That's exactly what this film is. Totally implausible fun. But that's what makes it so good! If you want spiritual or intellectual fulfilment, go and watch something with subtitles. If you want escapism from normality and a few laughs along the way, WATCH THIS FILM!!!

The Wraith
(1986)

Good, cheesy fun
This movie survives only because the plot idea is kinda' cool. The rest of it is tremendously cheesy, but the excellent car and a compulsive 80's sound track make this a movie worthy of a night in and a bucket of popcorn. Put up your feet, put your brain to bed, sit back and enjoy.

The Vanishing Rider
(1928)

My weekly excitement, all for a penny.
For a child's mind, it was absolutely wonderful. To see a lady tied to railway tracks, ready to be killed when the next train came by, but always rescued in time by the vanishing rider. I was always on tenterhooks until the next instalment. It was always inspiring and magical to a young child.

Two
(1996)

pretty good
Ok, so I've not seen the whole series yet, (I missed the first two episodes). But from what I've seen so far, it's a premise not entirely unlike the Fugitive. It may not be the most original idea in the world, but as TV goes it's pretty good. For a serious drama it isn't up to much, but as mindless entertainment, I'm hooked.
