Austin Powers in Goldmember
(2002)

Get A Life Myers
This was a total waste of $5.50. They are grabbing at straws now and can't come up with jokes or story lines. Not that I even enjoyed the first two. But everything you hated from the first ones is magnified. I know this is just popcorn fodder and mindless teenager BS but the bottom line is it's not funny. I almost fell asleep. Mr. Myers, it's time to move on. So I Married An Axe Murderer was great.

Wild Wild West
(1999)

Wild Wild Garbage
Before all you Will Smith fans get mad, let me just say that Will Smith can't act to save his life. Let's face it. He's an attractive likeable guy that got lucky and got a TV Show.

But the fact that WWW sucks is not his fault. Not totally anyways. They could have put any other sellout in this waste of millions. The reason it is partly his fault is cuz it was a vehicle created for him. They said "hey- Men In Black sucked and people seemed to like it. It made tons of cash. Let's make another. Here Will, take this 20 million and go throw it on the pile."

Gotta have a monster too. Bad guys on horses aren't enough to draw in 100 million these days. Oh, and some hot chick too. One with a nice behind. Selma will do. Now we need to settle on who get's the toy rights and which fast food joint gets the happy meal rights. OK. Now we need some other decent actors so it looks legit. Kline is good. He'll work cheap. Now it's time to write it... Forget it. We don't need a script. We'll just fill it up with homosexual innuendos and racist jokes. There. 100 million plus. All done.

This movie sucks. Glad I snuck in. And then stole some "Jim West Shades" from some kid watching to movie.

Douglas at his best- great story
This is perhaps one of my all-time favorite movies. It tells the story of a drone that has had enough.

He's an all American guy who has simple old fashioned beliefs and is tired of seeing things go wrong. I love this movie on so many levels. In a blind way, it's hilarious. Crashing up stores with baseball bats, shooting up fast food chains and making fun of gangsters is great fun.

But the movie has some really great dilemmas as well. The police see him as the "bad guy" but we can see him as any one of us, who has just been pushed a bit too far. It could be you or me.

In one memorable scene, a redneck KKK army-type guy sees him as being just like him. But Douglas is disgusted by this. He's not racist. He's just patriotic.
