Seven Seconds
(2018)

You Will Be Disappointed by the Final Episode
Don't waste your time - you will be left frustrated and unhappy you wasted ten hours of your life on this series.

This series started out so promising. The cast is just terrific, what a great ensemble, but the writing is mediocre at best. So many scenes seem added just to extend and stretch out this storyline to ten episodes. After the final episode we were beyond disappointed with the outcome; the bad guys literally "getting away with murder."

A Dog's Purpose
(2017)

A Great Family Film for Children of all ages!
We saw the movie A DOG'S PURPOSE on Thursday January 26 at the Riverside AMC. This is a great family film for children of all ages. The film has so many LAUGH OUT LOAD moments interspersed with TEARS FLOWING moments. Dog lovers will especially relate to all the comic and heartfelt moments of owning a dog. We look forward to seeing it again and reading the books written by W. BRUCE CAMERON!

Now you may have heard that there are several moments in the movie where the dog's die. Yes, this movie's theme is that one dog is reincarnated many times and those transitions, though heartbreaking and sad, are done tastefully with a simple blurring of the image into a kaleidoscope of colors that blends into the next scene. Adults will understand this as "transitioning" and young children will just get a sense we are on to the next story. The only disturbing image was of the Police German Shepard Dog who was shot...again nothing that hasn't already been shown over and over again on television or in other movies.

Audiences are loving the movie and the site CINEMASCORE, which hands cards to moviegoers to rate the movie, announced the average of all those attending the movie is a grade of "A." If we had to grade the movie we would have given it an "A+"

Modern Family: Arrested
(2012)
Episode 7, Season 4

"Arrested" was the absolute funniest episode of four seasons!
Just hilarious. Excellent writing, direction and acting by the entire cast! Please remember Shelly Long for consideration for a Guest Actress in a Comedy Series!

So glad to see her again!

WE LOVED THIS EPISODE!

Each actor in the show got to display their comedy chops. I suspect that if this is the episode they consider for an Emmy next season it will win for Direction, Writing, Guest Actress, Best Supporting Actor nominations!

SPOILER ALERT

3am phone calls awake all three couples with the arrest of Haley. Situation Comedy at its ABSOLUTE BEST!

The Carol Burnett Show: A Reunion
(1993)

Memories of Monday nights watching Carol Burnett!
I had the very good fortune to be part of this special!

As a child, my mom and dad would allow me to sneak into the living room after my younger sister would be put to bed so that I could stay up later and watch my favorite show; THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW! I had always dreamed of going to California to see a taping of the show but by the time I was old enough, after college, the show had been off the air. While stopping by at CBS to look for other show taping tickets I came across tickets to A REUNION! My dream come true, I thought! My partner and I dressed up and waited on line with others to get into the taping, knowing that seating would not be guaranteed. We got in but our seats were to the side and rear. Somehow a single seat became available in the center and the usher was looking for "a single" to fill the seat. I jumped at the opportunity to move in closer. I could not wait for my opportunity to raise my hand and ask a question. My question would be about the infamous "dentist office" scene with Tim and Harvey, asking what was going on in the scene that made them break-up so much? I swear I can remember watching that scene when it aired originally, laughing until it hurt! I don't think Carol, Harvey, Tim, Lyle or Vicki know how much their show contributed to my childhood memories and how they inspired me to go into show business. Although I am not now nor may I ever be famous, as an actor, I have been given the gift of being able to make people laugh while I am on stage.

This is a terrific trip down memory lane for anyone who stayed up late on Monday nights to watch Carol Burnett. I just hope it will get released on DVD soon!

Surviving Gilligan's Island: The Incredibly True Story of the Longest Three Hour Tour in History
(2001)

DAWN'S LOVE SHINES BRIGHT IN SURVIVING GILLIGAN'S ISLAND!
Tonight on CBS I watched SURVIVING GILLIGAN'S ISLAND - WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT! I found the part documentary - part movie fascinating to watch, but mostly I could sincerely feel the love that Dawn Wells feels for these characters, and the people that created them, come across! What an endearing tribute to those who were involved with one of the funniest television shows in American history. How ironic that today's newspaper panned this movie, perhaps in the same way that the critics panned the series when it aired - but the fans watched, and I'll bet big bucks that most of those fans tuned into this movie and the ratings will be HUGE! For anyone who loves the series - you'll want to watch this! WELL DONE! BRAVO!
