People I Know
(2002)

Triple Yuk!!!
I wanted to write at great length how bad this movie is but it doesn't deserve that much of my time. Horrible, unbelievable and uninteresting from start to especially the ending. Mumble, mumble, stumble, stumble. That about wraps up Pacino's character. Except to say he used the most artificial "southern" accent I have ever heard from any actor! Who's idea was that?? One of the top five bad movies of all time. Not even worth watching for free! You'd have to pay me more than Michael Jackson's attorney fees just to watch it again. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Song of the South
(1946)

Of Course It's That Great!!
This movie was made back when people didn't have to worry about being politically correct and you could just enjoy a movie for what it was, pure entertainment. No racial slurs, or put-downs, just a reflection of that time period. No need to explain the movie, everyone else done that. This comment is mainly for Disney to see and for others who really want a copy of this movie. Yes, you can buy a PAL version off the internet. They'll come from England, Canada, or even the US. You can then can get it converted to a NTSC video and it will play on any US VCR. So what's the point Disney? Your not stopping anyone from getting this movie, you just make it take a little longer and cost a little more. You're not making a penny off of the sales and just think off all the MILLIONS of dollars that you could get if you'd just release it in VHS format or even better, as a DVD. You couldn't make them fast enough!! I can even see a retail price of $39.95 being paid! In the meantime, people who really love this movie and remember it as part of their childhood or parents who want their children to experience a wonderful (and harmless) movie will still be able to buy a copy. I just did it, it was a great price, and the tape arrived today, it plays perfectly and I've already watched it twice today! And Disney, you would make more money off of this than any other movie you have released in decades! OK everyone......go get your own copy!

Want to see a STUPID movie? This is for you!
I don't need to explain the premise of this movie, you can read that from the other comments. It sounds like a great idea for a movie and I'm sure it could become one if you used a new director, producer, and actors, and if you would write the script as things would happen in real life. What started as a good movie quickly went downhill and became a horrible movie. Once inside the bank everything changed. Screaming and cursing seemed to be the main dialog. Burt Reynolds had a chance to do some good acting but he had to follow a stupid script which made him look stupid. He's screaming at the robber, at fellow police officers, into the phone, etc. The only true to life moment was at the ending when one police officer on a roof finally did something that really would happen in this situation. All the other police actions in the movie were silly and inane. The scene showing the girl outside with a gun in her hand waving it at the police and press and no one shooting her was totally unbelievable. If you want to see a movie about some nutty teenager who screams, curses, and hurts people and we are told we should feel sorry for, then this is your movie. If you want to see poor directing and acting, not to mention poor sound quality, then this is also your movie. If you want a good action adventure then this is NOT your movie. A HORRIBLE piece of junk! Score it less than zero!

Are you kidding me?
I read the only review for this movie and it sounded like this was one of the all time movie greats. I don't know what kind of comedy other people enjoy but the key word here is "comedy". There was none! Even with a cast of unknowns you'd think you'd get a chuckle from someone, even if it was the monkey. But I never laughed once during the entire movie....heck, I never even smiled! The acting was forced and fake and the "jokes" were painful. The lead actor even got caught looking at the camera in one scene. I don't recall a movie that I've ever seen that I would say was worse than this. And folks, I've seen "The Postman"! The ONLY reason to even keep this DVD is to watch the Howard Stern out-takes which were funny. Buy it? No. Rent it? No. Borrow it for the out-takes and don't even bother playing the movie. Can you give less than a zero? If not then score this one a ZERO!

Break Up
(1998)

So Bad It's Not Even Funny
What a horrible waste of time, energy and money, and I'm talking about me, not the producers! A horrible plot line, very bad acting and totally predictable outcome. It even took the director ten extra minutes of shooting scenes after the "climax" of the movie to figure out how to end it! I'm still trying to figure out why they made Fonda's character deaf, it really didn't come into play in the movie. Far fetched scenes with the husband and his self-mutilations. Minute after minute of nothing really happening on screen, it seemed they were just trying to figure out how to stretch the length. How anyone could be "held in suspense" by this movie is beyond me. No drama, no acting, no believable plot line and hopefully no more people will spend a dime on this movie. One of the worse!!
